The controversy surrounding Tamil actor Mansoor Ali Khan's comments about acting with Trisha is not going to die anytime soon. In the latest entertainment news, Mansoor Ali Khan has confirmed that he is going to file a defamation case against the 'Ponniyin Selvan' actress. For the unversed, Mansoor Ali Khan had earlier apologised to the actress a few days back, but it seems that the actor has now taken a U-turn.

"We are doing it (filing defamation case) today. We have prepared all the documents. (My) lawyer will share all other information later today. He will meet the press," Mansoor Ali Khan told News18.

When asked about his apology to Trisha, Mansoor said, "It is a big joke and I will explain it all later.”

For the unversed, everyone thought that the issue between Mansoor and Trisha was finished after the latter accepted his apology by tweeting, "To err is human, to forgive is divine."

The entire matter started after Mansoor Ali Khan opened up about acting in Vijay’s Leo, which also stars Trisha in an important role.

"When I heard Trisha was in the film, I thought I would have a bedroom scene with her. I thought I would carry her to the bedroom like I have done with many actresses in my earlier movies. Rape scenes are not new to me. However, these guys didn’t give me a glimpse of Trisha," he had said at a press meet.

This controversial statement led to severe backlash from celebrities such as Chiranjeevi, Khushbu Sundar, and 'Leo' director Lokesh Kanagaraj.

"Chiranjeevi garu is a big star. I have acted with him. He throws a party every year for his yesteryear heroines who acted with him. I have also acted with him, but he never invites me (laughs). He only invites them. It is his matter. But he is such a big actor, he could have called me and asked about my statement. He didn’t," said Mansoor Ali Khan, when he was asked about Chiranjeevi's reaction.

Nadigar Sangam, the film body for Tamil actors, also issued a temporary ban on the actor and demanded an apology.

Mansoor Ali Khan was also questioned by the Tamil Nadu Police.
