Sidharth Malhotra’s ‘Yodha’ Fails Monday Test, Drops By More Than 50 Per Cent
Sidharth Malhotra’s ‘Yodha’ has failed the Monday test. Here's how much it collected on Day 4.

Sidharth Malhotra, Raashii Khanna, and Disha Patani’s new Hindi movie ‘Yodha’, which was released in cinemas on March 15, registered a mediocre weekend at the box office. And now, the new Hindi movie has failed the crucial Monday test as it collected less than half of what it earned on Sunday. As per early estimates posted by industry tracker Sacnilk, ‘Yodha’ collected Rs 2.15 crore on Monday, the fourth day of its release. The total nett domestic collection of ‘Yodha’ now stands at Rs 19 crore.
For the unversed, the film, which has been backed by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, has opened to mixed reviews by critics.
‘Yodha’ is facing tough competition from Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, and Jyotika-starrer ‘Shaitaan’, which was released in cinemas on March 8. The Vikas Bahl directorial collected Rs 3 crore on its second Monday, taking the total nett collection to Rs 106.05 crore, as per Sacnilk.
Coming back to ‘Yodha’, the new Hindi movie witnessed an overall 10.36 per cent occupancy on Monday.
‘Yodha’ has been produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, and Shashank Khaitan. Sagar Ambre has scripted the film apart from co-directing it with Pushkar Ojha.
Apart from Sidharth Malhotra, Disha Patani, and Raashii Khanna, the film also stars Ronit Roy, Tanuj Virwani, Sunny Hinduja, and Kritika Bhardwaj.
On the other hand, Adah Sharma-starrer ‘Bastar: The Naxal Story’, which released on the same day as ‘Yodha’, minted Rs 0.24 crore on Monday, taking the four-day total to just Rs 2.24 crore, as per Sacnilk.
Hollywood film ‘Kung Fu Panda 4’ has outperformed ‘Bastar: The Naxal Story’ by quite a big margin in India. The new Hollywood movie minted Rs 1.50 crore on Monday, as per Sacnilk and the four-day weekend total now stands at Rs 13 crore.
Yami Gautam and Priyamani’s ‘Article 370’, which was released in cinemas on February 23, minted Rs 0.40 crore on Monday, which was the 25th day of its release. As per Sacnilk, the total nett domestic collection of ‘Article 370’ now stands at Rs 72.80 crore.
