The promotional trail for the much-anticipated horror-comedy ‘Bhooth Bangla’ is officially in high gear. And if the latest social media update is any indication, the chemistry between the lead pair is as electric as it is hilarious. Indian actress Wamiqa Gabbi recently took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes moment from a private jet, where she went head-to-head with the original Khiladi of Bollywood, Akshay Kumar, in a high-stakes arm-wrestling match.

What started as a playful challenge quickly turned into a viral sensation, showcasing a side of Wamiqa that even Akshay wasn't prepared for.

The video begins with Akshay and Wamiqa locked in a classic arm-wrestling stance across a sleek wooden table on their flight. For the first few seconds, it appears to be a one-sided affair. Akshay, known for his legendary fitness and strength, seems to be effortlessly winning, gradually pinning Wamiqa’s arm down toward the table. Wamiqa, struggling to keep up, looks like she’s on the verge of defeat until a critical intervention occurs.

As Wamiqa’s hand inches closer to the table, someone enters the frame and places a lipstick directly on the spot where her hand is about to land. The moment Wamiqa realises her precious makeup is in the line of fire, her expression shifts from struggle to pure, unadulterated determination.
In a sudden burst of “Khiladi energy”, she lets out a roar, finds a second wind, and manages to flip the momentum entirely. With a surge of strength fuelled by the fear of crushing her lipstick, she slams Akshay’s hand down to the table, securing an unlikely victory over the action superstar.
The video ends with Wamiqa triumphantly clutching the lipstick to her chest, breathing a sigh of relief as she jokingly asks, “Are you mad?”
Wamiqa’s caption for the post added another layer of humour to the clip. She wrote: “Just some KHILADI energy before entering the Bhooth Bangla on 10th April (btw, that was the only lipstick I was carrying, it was an important lipstick.”
Not one to take a loss quietly, Akshay Kumar jumped into the comment section with a witty retort that resonated with thousands of fans. “Lesson learnt: never come between a girl and her lipstick. Even a Khiladi will lose that fight,” he commented, acknowledging that some things are simply more powerful than raw muscle.
This playful interaction is just a taste of the camaraderie fans can expect from ‘Bhooth Bangla’. The film marks a monumental reunion between Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan after a long gap – their last collaboration being the 2010 hit ‘Khatta Meetha’.
Along with Akshay and Wamiqa, the upcoming horror-comedy also features Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, and Asrani. Scheduled to hit theatres on April 10, ‘Bhooth Bangla’ is already one of the most talked-about releases of the year.
