If there is one thing Bollywood fans love more than a big-screen collaboration, it is the off-screen camaraderie between co-stars. Recently, actress Wamiqa Gabbi took to Instagram to share a hilarious reel featuring none other than Bollywood superstar, Akshay Kumar. The video, which has quickly gone viral, showcased a series of Poor Jokes (PJs) delivered by Wamiqa, leaving Akshay Kumar in a state of comedic despair. The video opened in the confined space of an elevator, setting the stage for an awkward yet funny interaction.

Wamiqa, dressed in a stylish black-and-white polka-dot off-shoulder dress, looked towards a bearded and stoic Akshay Kumar. With a completely straight face, she posed a riddle: “Sir, agar kisi ki maasi door rehti hai, toh usse English mein kya kahenge?”

Akshay, wearing a casual white t-shirt and grey cargo pants, waited for the inevitable. The punchline? “Phar(Far)-macy”. The play on words – combining "far" with "maasi" – was met with a look of pure, unadulterated silence from Akshay. His deadpan expression was the perfect foil to Wamiqa’s bubbly enthusiasm, perfectly capturing the vibe of a mentor dealing with a very punny student.

The setting shifted to a promotional backdrop for their new film ‘Bhooth Bangla’. The poster behind them showed Akshay Kumar in a chaotic, supernatural setting, but the real chaos was happening in front of it. Wamiqa continued her onslaught of puns, telling a story about two people playing badminton who were suddenly apprehended by the police.

When Akshay asked why, she revealed: “Kyunki woh racket chala rahe the”. Before she could even finish her triumphant smile, Akshay simply walked out of the frame, leaving Wamiqa calling after him.

The final segment took place in what looked like a lounge or lobby area. Wamiqa asked Akshay if he knew of a place where singing was strictly prohibited. A visibly tired Akshay admitted he doesn't know. Wamiqa dropped the final blow: “Na-ga-land” (a pun on “Na-Gaa,” meaning “Don't sing”).

The video concluded with a classic comedic edit – the screen turning black and white, a sombre sound effect playing, and Akshay Kumar looking into the distance, seemingly questioning his career choices while Wamiqa hid her face behind a ‘Bhooth Bangla’ promotional card, giggling.

Wamiqa captioned the post with a witty poem: “Premiqa ke PJ pe hasi hui faraar, Akshay sir bole, 'Bas karo yaar!' BHOOTH BANGLA in cinemas now! Book your tickets now !!”

She even invited her followers to contribute to the cringe, asking them to send more jokes in the comments. The post has already amassed over 419,000 likes and thousands of comments. Fellow actors and fans alike have flooded the section with laughing emojis.

This light-hearted interaction serves as a refreshing promotional tactic for ‘Bhooth Bangla’, showcasing the effortless chemistry between the two leads. So, Are you a fan of “so bad they're good” puns, or do you resonate more with Akshay’s “please stop” energy in the video?

'Bhooth Bangla', co-starring Paresh Rawal, Tabu, Rajpal Yadav and more, has so far made Rs 64 crore in India.
