Nushrratt Bharuccha Issues Clarification After Instagram Story On RCB’s Win Raises Eyebrows
Nushrratt Bharuccha has issued a clarification surrounding the strange sounds in her recent Instagram Story about RCB’s IPL 2026 win.
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) won the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 edition recently after beating the Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The victory prompted several celebrities to congratulate the franchise and Virat Kohli. However, one post came under intense scrutiny, and it belonged to Bollywood actress Nushrratt Bharuccha. She shared an Instagram Story to celebrate the win, but eagle-eyed fans noticed an unpleasant sound attached to the clip.

The video instantly drew attention from fans, prompting several questions. However, on Thursday, the ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ actress cleared the air, saying the sound in the background belonged to a dog and there wasn't anything more to it.
Nushrratt also clarified that she was watching the IPL 2026 with her friends, and the background sound came from one of their pups.
Taking to Instagram Stories, she reshared another user’s post and wrote, “Kuch logon ne hadh hi kar di. Ek puppy ke rone ki awaaz se itna bawaal mach gaya hai, and someone has issued a fake clarification also on my behalf. So here's the reality: I was watching the match at my friend's house, and their young puppy was making these crying sounds. This is the video made by my friend at the same time with the same sounds from another angle.”
Nushrratt then shared another IG Story, describing the house where she watched the RCB-Gujarat Titans encounter. “This is the house where I was watching the match. This is the puppy. This is the video from that very night, a little later. Fearing exactly what had happened, I was advised to delete that video, and I did. People, calm your wild thoughts down! Owning a mobile phone doesn't empower harassment. Do not misinterpret or follow blindly. Think and act responsibly,” she wrote.

Earlier this week, another screenshot went viral in which Nushrratt seemed to explain the sounds and the video’s backdrop. However, the actress cleared the air on Thursday, saying the earlier post was "fake" and not hers.

Speaking of the IPL 2026 final, Virat Kohli starred with the bat, scoring an unbeaten 75 to help RCB register back-to-back IPL title wins. Virat was also adjudged the Player of the Match.
Returning to Nushrratt Bharuccha, she will next be seen in Neeraj Pandey and Manoj Bajpayee's ‘Ghooskhor Pandat’ (title to be changed).
