Despite the panicked comments from fans suggesting deleted memories, a look at their profiles reveals that Mouni still retains her wedding pictures and several posts featuring Suraj. Similarly, Suraj's account also continues to feature pictures with the actress.
While the couple has been firmly in the public eye since their marriage, often sharing pictures together and openly expressing their affection, they have yet to officially react to the ongoing separation rumours.
The couple’s love story reportedly began on New Year's Eve in 2019 when they met through mutual friends in Dubai. After gradually developing a close bond and keeping their relationship private, speculation grew during the pandemic as Mouni Roy spent considerable time in Dubai. Hailing from a Jain family in Bengaluru, Suraj Nambiar eventually tied the knot with Mouni in January 2022. The lavish wedding took place at the Hilton Goa Resort in Candolim, attended by close family and friends. The couple honoured both of their heritages, starting with Malayali rituals in the morning followed by a traditional Bengali ceremony later in the day.
At the time, the couple shared their joy online. Mouni wrote, “I found him at last.. Hand in hand, blessed by family and friends, we're married! Need your love and blessings. Love, Suraj and Mouni.” Suraj echoed the sentiment, sharing the same viral visuals with the caption, “27.01.2022 - Married my best friend and the love of my life. Feel like the luckiest man alive.”
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Mouni Roy remains highly active. Having been a household name on Indian television for years with hit shows like ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, ‘Kasturi’, ‘Do Saheliyaan’, and ‘Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev’, she reached widespread fame as Shivanya in ‘Naagin’.
She successfully transitioned to Bollywood, making her debut alongside Akshay Kumar in ‘Gold’, and later starring in ‘Romeo Akbar Walter’, ‘Made in China’, ‘Velle’, and playing the primary antagonist in ‘Brahmastra Part One: Shiva’.
Currently, Mouni is awaiting the release of her upcoming romantic comedy, ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’. Directed by David Dhawan – marking his fifth collaboration with Varun Dhawan – the film features a massive ensemble cast including Pooja Hegde, Mrunal Thakur, Maniesh Paul, Rakesh Bedi, Chunky Panday, Rajesh Kumar, and Jimmy Shergill. Initially slated for a May 22 release, the film shifted back to its original theatrical release date of June 5 after Yash's ‘Toxic: A Fairytale For Grown-Ups’ was postponed again.
