“Worst Show Ever”: Madhuri Dixit Comes Under Fire For Arriving 3 Hours Late To Canada Event
Madhuri Dixit faced backlash after fans slammed her Canada tour for a three-hour delay, calling it “the worst show ever” and demanding refunds.
Bollywood’s eternal diva Madhuri Dixit Nene has landed in the middle of a controversy after fans attending the Toronto leg of her ongoing USA-Canada tour expressed disappointment over the show’s late start and format. The event, titled ‘The Golden Diva of Bollywood’, was held at The Theatre at Great Canadian Toronto and reportedly began nearly three hours late, leaving attendees frustrated. Many have taken to social media to call out the organisers for what they described as a “poorly managed” and “misleading” event.
Just days ago, Madhuri had announced her international tour with much excitement, promising fans an unforgettable evening of “dance, music, and memories”.
The Toronto show, held on November 2, marked the beginning of the tour, which is set to travel through several cities across the US and Canada. However, while many rushed to see the Bollywood legend live, the evening didn’t quite meet expectations for several attendees.
One disappointed fan shared a clip of Madhuri performing her timeless hit ‘Mera Piya Ghar Aaya’ from ‘Yaraana’ (1995), writing, “If I could give you one piece of advice, it’s not to attend the Madhuri Dixit tour… Save your money. What an absolute shit show of a night.”

Others joined in with similar criticism, complaining that the event turned out to be more of a talk show than a dance performance. One Instagram user wrote, “The advertisement didn’t say she was just going to chat and dance for 2 seconds of each song. So many people walked out. People were yelling for a refund.”
Some accused the organisers of “disrespecting the audience’s time” after Madhuri reportedly arrived on stage around 10 pm despite tickets stating a 7:30 pm start time. “Worst show ever. Three hours late and full of lame talks,” another attendee commented, while one user lamented, “How long will she dance on the same old songs? What was the tour even for?”
However, a section of fans defended Madhuri Dixit, insisting that the poor management wasn’t her fault. One admirer wrote, “She’s a legendary artist. People buy tickets just to see her. Real fans will appreciate any glimpse of her.” Another added, “It’s not her fault if it wasn’t organised properly. She looked stunning, and to be in her presence is special.”
As Madhuri’s tour continues with stops in New Jersey, Boston, Chicago, Houston, and New York, it remains to be seen whether the organisers will address the backlash or tweak the event format. For now, the actress and her team have not issued any official statement regarding the Toronto show’s delay or the criticism that followed.
