Kangana Ranaut Tells Hrithik Roshan To "Stop Embarrassing" Saba Azad In Latest Remarks
Kangana Ranaut reignited her feud with Hrithik Roshan by responding to his latest remarks, and this time even mentioning, the actor’s current girlfriend, Saba Azad.
Nearly a decade after their highly publicized legal and public dispute, the feud between Bollywood stars Kangana Ranaut and Hrithik Roshan has resurfaced. What started as a political critique on social media has rapidly snowballed into a renewed war of words, complete with viral trends, unverified memes, and a direct message to Hrithik involving his current partner, Saba Azad. The fresh chapter of this saga was triggered by Kangana's recent remarks concerning student protests. The actress and BJP MP referred to Gen Z protesters and young women as "Generation Gutter" after criticising the language used by some protesters.

She specifically targeted Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) spokesperson Saurav Das, questioning his identity as a student, comparing his achievements to her own career milestones, and calling him “totally useless and unemployed”.
This prompted a response from Saurav Das on Barkha Dutt's The Mojo Story. He revealed, “My friends were texting me and asking, 'Why is she after your life?' One of them said that I may look a little like a young Hrithik Roshan. This is what my friends told me. I was pleasantly surprised. Why should someone like her attack someone like me?”

Saurav Das’s statement immediately ignited a viral social media trend: “We need to apologise to Hrithik Roshan”. The trend gained further traction when influencer and author Freddy Birdy shared an Instagram post declaring, “The world owes an apology to Hrithik Roshan”.
Hrithik, who typically distances himself from social media narratives, stepped into the comments section of Birdy's post to respond. He wrote, “My friend, siding with 'A' just cause you don't like 'B' anymore is a small part of the larger systemic issue plaguing our society. I'll wait, for when the context to it is the right one, and motivated by facts. That would be fair. But then again, who cares anymore right?”
Amid this online chatter, Hrithik also became the subject of a viral claim. A Reddit user shared an unverified screenshot purportedly showing Hrithik's official Instagram account liking a meme that read, "Hrithik Bhai, you could've taken one for the team. Kyun khula chhod diya ise desh par?" The original post was subsequently deleted, and the alleged "like" could not be independently verified.
Hours later on Saturday evening, Kangana retaliated via her Instagram Stories. Sharing a news report about Hrithik's reaction, she penned a strongly worded note, explicitly namedropping his girlfriend. She wrote, “Dear Hrithik I am happy that you have found your perfect match, Saba Azad and you both look great together. You are in a committed relationship and it doesn't suit you to tease a woman like this. Instead you should condemn all those who are harassing and bullying me using your name.”
She further said, “Stop adding fuel to fire and embarrassing your partner, hope better sense prevails and you stop making unreasonable comments (thumbs up emoticon).”
The current spat brings back memories of their infamous 2016 fallout. The rift began in early 2016 when Kangana referred to Hrithik as a “silly ex” during an interview, hinting at a past romantic relationship while they were filming ‘Krrish 3’ (2013). The duo had also previously worked together in ‘Kites’ (2010). Hrithik vehemently denied having any kind of relationship with her and sent a legal notice demanding a public apology for damaging his reputation. Kangana refused, issuing a counter-notice.
The dispute escalated when Hrithik registered a case alleging someone impersonating him was emailing Kangana from a bogus email ID. In stark contrast, Kangana claimed Hrithik himself provided the ID and that they had been communicating through it until 2014. Hrithik maintained that Kangana had been sending him hundreds of absurd emails in 2013 and 2014. By 2017, the cybercrime cell reportedly filed a closure (nil) report, citing that the investigation did not yield definitive evidence to support the allegations.
Today, Hrithik has moved on in his personal life. He made his relationship with Saba Azad public by sharing a picture on social media, with the couple making their first official public appearance together at Karan Johar's 50th birthday celebrations. They have since been quite vocal about their relationship, frequently sharing vacation pictures. Previously, Hrithik was married to interior designer Sussanne Khan. They tied the knot in a private Bangalore ceremony in December 2000, separated in December 2013, and finalized their divorce in November 2014. They co-parent two sons: Hrehaan, welcomed in 2006, and Hridaan, born in 2008.
