Aditya Dhar has shared the latest update about 'Dhurandhar 2' teaser.

The anticipation for ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has officially reached a boiling point. Following the record-breaking success of the first film, filmmaker Aditya Dhar has finally addressed the one question on every fan's mind: Where is the teaser? While rumours suggested the teaser would debut alongside Sunny Deol’s ‘Border 2’, Aditya Dhar has taken to social media to set the record straight. On Friday morning, Aditya Dhar shared a fan’s meme on his Instagram Stories.

The meme featured a playful plea: “Aditya Dhar mazak nahi, teaser jaldi” (Aditya Dhar, no jokes, release the teaser soon). The director’s response was short but sweet: “Teaser will be out in a few days!”

While he stopped short of naming an exact date, industry buzz suggests a potential drop on January 26, timed perfectly for Republic Day.

The announcement has sent the internet into a frenzy, though the sentiment is a mix of pure adrenaline and mild caution. "Have never waited for any movie or series this crazily," one fan wrote, hoping for "patience" to survive the wait until the full film.

Some viewers expressed concern that the teaser might rely too heavily on existing footage from the first film’s end credits. "Fingers crossed," noted one cautious fan.

‘Dhurandhar 2’ is slated for a theatrical release on March 19. This puts the film on a direct collision course with Yash’s ‘Toxic’, setting the stage for one of the biggest box office battles of the year. The sequel follows the massive footprint of the original, which released on December 5, 2025, and emerged as the highest-grossing film of 2025, raking in over Rs 1300 crore worldwide.

The most talked-about theory stems from the first film’s post-credits scene, where R Madhavan addresses Ranveer Singh’s character as Jaskirat Singh Rangi.

Eagle-eyed fans of Aditya Dhar’s ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ remember that Kirti Kulhari’s character was the widow of a Captain Jaskirat Singh Rangi. This has led to intense speculation about a “Dhar-verse”. However, early feedback suggests that audiences are somewhat lukewarm on the idea of a forced shared universe, preferring the spy thriller to stand on its own.

Ranveer Singh returns as an Indian spy infiltrating terror networks in Lyari, Pakistan. The high-octane thriller features a powerhouse ensemble including Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and R Madhavan.
