The ‘Pativerse’ is expanding, and it looks more chaotic than ever. On Monday, the makers of the upcoming romantic comedy-drama ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do’ officially released the teaser, offering a first glimpse into Ayushmann Khurrana’s complicated life as he navigates a world where “patiyon ki fitrat” remains unchanged despite the passage of time. Serving as a spiritual sequel to the 2019 hit ‘Pati Patni Aur Who’ – which featured Kartik Aaryan, Ananya Panday, and Bhumi Pednekar – the new installment takes the “pati, patni, aur woh” trope and multiplies it.

This time, lead actor Ayushmann Khurrana, playing the character Prajapati Pandey, finds himself caught between not just one, but three leading ladies: Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, and Wamiqa Gabbi.

Sharing the teaser on social media, Ayushmann wrote, “Samay sab kuch badal deta hai… par patiyon ki fitrat uske bhi bas mein nahi. Aa rahe hain Prajapati Pandey… is baar apni Patni aur Woh Do ke saath!”

The teaser opens with an evocative voiceover reflecting on how the world changes, yet a husband's fundamental nature does not. The footage transitions to Ayushmann Khurrana’s character being visibly mesmerised by a mystery visitor at his office, setting the stage for a series of romantic entanglements and inevitable blunders.
Adding to the hilarity is veteran actor Vijay Raaz, who appears as a police officer. In a standout moment from the teaser, Vijay Raaz’s character deadpans to a distressed Ayushmann, questioning his luck after being caught with one friend, being rescued by a second, and having a third one show up. The confusion peaks as the teaser shows Ayushmann romancing all three women, eventually leading to a scene where the quartet is seen tied together in a dangerous, yet comedic, predicament.
Directed by Mudassar Aziz, who also helmed the 2019 predecessor, the film boasts a strong supporting cast including Tigmanshu Dhulia, Vishal Vasistha, Guneet Singh, Durgesh Kumar, Ayesha Raza Mishra, Shireesh Kumar Sharma, and Deepika Amin.
The project is presented by Gulshan Kumar, B R Chopra, and T-Series. It is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Renu Ravi Chopra, and Krishan Kumar, with Juno Chopra serving as the creative producer.
The teaser has already sparked a wave of conversation online. While many fans expressed excitement, with comments calling it a "perfect sequel" and praising the "fresh chaos," others were more skeptical. Some viewers noted similarities to the film ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon’, while a few expressed that the humour didn't quite land for them yet.
‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do’ marks Ayushmann’s return to the big screen following his moderate success in ‘Thamma’. For Sara Ali Khan, this follows her appearance in ‘Metro… In Dino’.
The film is officially set to hit theatres on May 15, 2026, promising a high-energy comedy of errors for the summer season.
