Produced by Dinesh Vijan, ‘Thama’ will also star acclaimed actors Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Paresh Rawal. The film will be co-produced by Amar Kaushik, who recently directed the blockbuster hit ‘Stree 2’.

The movie will be directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, who earlier helmed Abhay Verma, Sharvari Wagh and Mona Singh-starrer ‘Munjya’. It turned out to be a surprise box office hit.

In ‘Thama’, Ayushmann Khurrana is rumoured to be playing a vampire, a reference to this character was made at the end of ‘Stree 2’. ‘Thama’ is written by Niren Bhatt, Suresh Mathew and Arun Fulara.

Ayushmann and Rashmika’s ‘Thama’ was previously titled ‘Vampires Of Vijaynagar’, as per several reports.

Meanwhile, Maddock Films’ most recent release ‘Stree 2’ emerged as the biggest Hindi-language hit of the year, grossing over Rs 800 crore at the worldwide box office.

Ayushmann Khurrana has been having a rough run in theatres recently, but appeared to bounce back with the hit 2023 movie ‘Dream Girl 2’. Rashmika Mandanna, on the other hand, was last seen in the blockbuster hit ‘Animal’, which starred Ranbir Kapoor.

She is now gearing up for the release of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, co-starring Allu Arjun and Fahadh Faasil. It will release on December 5.

Rashmika also has ‘Chhava’ with Vicky Kaushal and 'Sikandar' with Salman Khan in the pipeline.
