Assam Floods: Salman Khan To Kartik Aaryan, Celebrities Who Extended Support
Assam floods have prompted support from Salman Khan, Kartik Aaryan and other stars. Here's who has stepped forward to help.
As Assam continues to battle one of the most devastating floods, Bollywood celebrities are stepping up to support relief efforts. Days after Salman Khan launched an on-the-ground humanitarian initiative through his charitable foundation, Being Human, Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan has contributed Rs 1 crore to the Assam Chief Minister's Relief Fund to support rehabilitation efforts across the state. The Assam Chief Minister's Office confirmed Kartik's contribution on Thursday through an official post on X.

Acknowledging the actor's support, the office expressed gratitude for his timely gesture, noting that the donation would strengthen the state's ongoing relief operations.
"Gratitude to actor @TheAaryanKartik for his generous contribution of ₹1 Crore to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund. HCM Dr. @himantabiswa appreciated his commendable gesture and timely support toward state relief measures," Chief Minister Assam wrote on X.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also extended his appreciation to the actor in a separate post, thanking Kartik Aaryan for standing in solidarity with the people of Assam during the crisis. The Chief Minister said the contribution would play an important role in supporting those affected by the floods as rescue and rehabilitation efforts continue.
“Truly heartened by your generous contribution, @TheAaryanKartik. Your support will go a long way in helping the people of Assam #AssamFloods," Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote.

Kartik's donation comes shortly after Salman Khan quietly initiated a phased relief campaign in the flood-hit state through Being Human. Working alongside one of his fan clubs in Assam, the actor's foundation has already begun distributing ready-to-eat food packets in affected regions. The initiative is expected to expand in the coming weeks, with plans to provide essential supplies such as ration kits, drinking water, medicines, sanitary products, and mosquito repellents, while also extending assistance to rebuild schools and healthcare facilities damaged by the floods.
Other Celebrities Speak Up
Several other members of the film fraternity have also lent their voices to the cause. Actresses Bhumi Pednekar and Alia Bhatt have been using their social media platforms to amplify relief resources and encourage people to contribute towards helping families affected by the disaster.
“Right now, floods are affecting so many parts of our country, with Assam being among the hardest hit, facing an incredibly challenging time. More than 60 lives have been lost. Lakhs of people have been displaced. Entire families have lost their homes, their land, their livestock... and for some, even the people they love,” Alia wrote.
On the other hand, Bhumi shared a video and said, “Hello everyone. We all know what’s happening in the country right now, and I salute the spirit and determination everyone has shown. But there’s one part of the country that urgently needs our attention – Assam.”
Celebrities such as Adah Sharma, Guru Randhawa, Raashii Khanna, and singer Papon also lent their voices to support the people of Assam.
Even as relief efforts gather pace, the flood situation in Assam remains critical. According to PTI, citing the latest bulletin issued by the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), two more people lost their lives in Sivasagar district over the past 24 hours after drowning in floodwaters, including a child. The latest fatalities have pushed this year's flood-related death toll in the state to 80.
Although the number of affected people has declined from more than three lakh reported a day earlier, rehabilitation remains a massive challenge. The state government has established 112 relief and distribution camps across the affected districts, where more than 75,000 displaced people are currently being sheltered.
