Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt tied the knot in an intimate Mumbai wedding attended by family, close friends, and several celebrities.
Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan and his partner, Gauri Spratt, are officially married! The couple exchanged vows in a beautiful, intimate registered wedding ceremony at the actor’s Pali Hill residence in Bandra, Mumbai, on Sunday (July 5). Despite heavy downpours lashing the city over the weekend, the weather did not dampen the celebratory spirit. Workers donning raincoats were seen putting up festive decor and decorative lights, while Aamir’s sister arrived a day early to kickstart the festivities. The wedding was an elegant affair attended by approximately 150 close friends and family members, with some guests flying in from overseas.

The star-studded guest list included Mukesh Ambani, Rhea Chakraborty, Rajkumar Hirani, and Lekha Washington. Aamir’s former wives, Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao – with whom he continues to share a warm bond and co-parents – were also present to bless the couple. Setting major fashion goals, the bride stunned in an ivory lehenga, perfectly accessorised with layered jewels and a chic fishtail braid. Aamir complemented her in a cream kurta pinned with a glamorous brooch. Adding to the heartwarming atmosphere, Aamir’s son Azad and Gauri’s seven-year-old son, Quinn, served as the adorable ringbearers.

Thanks to inside videos shared by attendees, fans got a glimpse into the magical day. In a clip shared by actor Lekha Washington, Gauri was seen looking directly into Aamir's eyes as she said, “I, Gauri Spratt, take Aamir Khan – my protector, my shelter – as my lawful husband.” Following the vows, Aamir called her his lawful wife, leaned in for a kiss, and sweetly kissed her hand. Another picture showed the newlywed bride joyously pumping her fist in the air after registering the marriage.
The couple later shared their first dance, hugging lovingly while their family clapped and cheered. Gauri’s young son was seen sitting between the happy couple with a beaming smile, while Aamir’s children from his previous marriages – Junaid, Ira, and Azad – sat nearby. True to his nature, Aamir was also seen joking around during the celebrations.
Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan posted a heartfelt video of the vows and dance, writing, “Dear Amir Bhai & Gauri, Heartiest congratulations on your wedding! Wishing you both a lifetime of love, happiness, laughter, and togetherness. May Allah bless your beautiful journey with endless joy and countless blessings. So happy for you both, congratulations once again!”
Aamir had previously confirmed his wedding plans at the screening of Rajkumar Hirani's Pritam and Pedro series, stating, “Shaadi hai 5 July ko. Ghar pe hi kar rahe hain. Bahut hi choti shaadi hai. Bahut hi khaas din hai 5 tarikh hamare liye. Dono families hain aur kuch khaas dost hain.”
He had elaborated, “Ghar pe hi kar rahe hain. Aap sabhi ki dua chahiye bas ki hum khush rahe aur prarthana karenge ki achha safar rahe. Bahut hi gharelu hai.”
Aamir and Gauri’s love story is one of serendipity. The duo first met in Bengaluru nearly 25 years ago but lost touch. They reconnected in 2023 through Aamir’s cousin, Nuzhat Khan. After dating for two years, Aamir made the relationship public on his 60th birthday in March 2025. Gauri Spratt, who previously worked with a Bengaluru-based salon chain and is now a part of Aamir Khan Productions, relocated to Mumbai with her son over a year ago, and the couple has been living together since.
Speaking on Raj Shamani's podcast last year, the ‘3 Idiots’ actor confessed he didn't expect to find love again after his two previous marriages (to Reena Dutta in 1986 and Kiran Rao in 2005). He shared, “Gauri and I met by mistake and we connected and we became friends, and love happened.”
During his 60th birthday press meet, Aamir beautifully summed up his journey: “I've been fortunate to be in a strong relationship. Like, Reena and I spent 16 years together, and then Kiran and I spent 16 years together, and in many ways we are still together. I've learnt so much, and it's been very enriching. With Gauri, I feel settled.”
