Watch: Aamir Khan Spills The Beans On His “Gharelu” Wedding With Gauri Spratt, Deets Inside
Aamir Khan is all set to tie the knot with Gauri Spratt. He recently talked about the upcoming special day.
Wedding bells are about to ring for Aamir Khan. The Bollywood superstar is set to marry his partner, Gauri Spratt, on July 5, and the celebrations will be exactly the way the couple wants them – quiet, private and surrounded only by their closest friends and family members. Ahead of the ceremony, Aamir made a rare comment about his wedding while attending the screening of Rajkumar Hirani's series 'Pritam and Pedro'.
The Bollywood star, who was accompanied by his son-actor Junaid Khan, briefly interacted with the media and confirmed that the wedding festivities will take place at his Mumbai home and will be an intimate family affair.
“Shaadi hai 5 July ko. Ghar pe hi kar rahe hai. Bahut hi choti shaadi hai. Bahut hi khaas din hai 5 tarikh hamare liye. Dono families hai aur kuch khaas dost hai," Aamir told reporters.
“Ghar pe hi kar rahe hain. Aap sabhi ki dua chahiye bas ki hum khush rahe aur prathana karenge ki achha safar rahe. Bahut hi gharelu hai,” he added.

The couple will exchange vows at Aamir's residence in Bandra through a registered marriage, followed by a small ceremony attended by close friends and family. In contrast to the lavish celebrations often associated with Bollywood stars, Aamir and Gauri have chosen to skip a grand reception altogether.
The ceremony is expected to be especially meaningful because their children will play an important role in the celebrations. Aamir's children – Junaid Khan and Ira Khan from his marriage to Reena Dutta, and Azad Rao Khan from his marriage to filmmaker Kiran Rao – will be part of the festivities. Gauri's son from her previous marriage will also join the family on the special occasion.
The couple first confirmed their relationship publicly during Aamir's 60th birthday celebrations last year, ending months of speculation. Since then, they have made only a handful of public appearances together, preferring to keep their personal lives out of the limelight.
This will mark Aamir's third marriage. He married Reena Dutta in 1986, and the former couple welcomed Junaid and Ira before parting ways in 2002. He later married filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2005, and they announced their separation in 2021 after 16 years together. Despite ending their marriage, the two continue to co-parent their son, Azad.
Interestingly, Aamir and Gauri's story began nearly 25 years ago when they first crossed paths. Although they lost touch over the years, fate brought them back together, and their renewed friendship eventually turned into a romantic relationship.
