Watch: Shahid Kapoor Delivers Savage One-Liner After Kapil Sharma’s DM Question
Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri were the latest guests on ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’, to promote their upcoming film ‘O Romeo’.
Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming romantic action drama ‘O Romeo’, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. As part of the film’s promotions, Shahid and his co-stars Triptii Dimri and Avinash Tiwary recently appeared on ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’, where a light-hearted exchange about Valentine’s Day quickly became the highlight of a teaser shared by Netflix India.
In the clip, host Kapil Sharma playfully asked Shahid Kapoor whether he still receives direct messages from admirers despite being married. Standing beside Triptii, Shahid responded with mock seriousness, saying they had just been backstage discussing the ages of their children. Not one to back down, Kapil joked that the kids were too young to notice such things anyway. Shahid delivered the punchline by adding that while the children might not know, their mother certainly does – a witty reference to his wife, Mira Rajput.

Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput tied the knot in 2015 in what was an arranged marriage. The actor has often shared that he felt an instant connection, though Mira reportedly took around six months before agreeing to the proposal. The couple, who have a 13-year age gap, welcomed their daughter Misha in 2016 and their son Zain in 2018. Over the years, they have continued to share glimpses of their family life on social media, frequently earning praise as one of Bollywood’s most admired couples.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, ‘O Romeo’ marks Shahid Kapoor’s return to the big screen under Vishal Bhardwaj’s direction. The film boasts an ensemble cast including Nana Patekar, Vikrant Massey, Disha Patani, Tamannaah Bhatia and Farida Jalal in key roles.
Described as a modern and darker reinterpretation inspired by Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo and Juliet’, the film is set against a gritty, violent backdrop. It delves into themes of love, obsession, rage and betrayal, following Shahid’s character as he navigates a world marked by emotional turmoil and brutality.
The screenplay has been co-written by Vishal Bhardwaj and Rohan Narula, with Sajid Nadiadwala producing the project. ‘O Romeo’ is slated for a theatrical release on February 13.
