Entering the show during its high-stakes ‘Lock Upp’ Season 2 finale week, Vikas Gupta did not hold back, delivering a blistering reality check to Shilpa Shinde over her controversial behaviour and statements made inside the house. The surprise entrance left Shilpa stunned, especially since Vikas made it immediately clear that he was not there to exchange pleasantries.

Addressing the housemates, Vikas Gupta took the opportunity to compliment several contestants, but when the focus shifted to Shilpa Shinde, the tone turned severely critical. He explicitly stated that she did not deserve the respect of being called “Shilpa Ji,” citing her recent actions as the reason.

Vikas was particularly furious about Shilpa’s recent discussions regarding fellow contestant Shivangi Joshi. He confronted her directly, asking, “Aap kitni badtameez hain aapko maalum hai? Aap ne kitni gandi baatein boli uske [Shivangi] ke baare mei? Matlab itni badtameezi? Ram Kapoor ko bola iss mote ke saath soungi main?”

On ‘Lock Upp’ Season 2 finale week, he accused her of spreading negativity and fat-shaming veteran actor Ram Kapoor, making it clear that her words were not perceived as harmless jokes. “It was not making fun. You are a person like this and you spread negativity everywhere. No one can change you. Not Shilpa ji only Shilpa,” Vikas added.
The confrontation escalated as Vikas called out Shilpa for dissecting Shivangi’s personal life on national television. “Kisi ki personal life ko itni badtameezi se nahi karni chahiye. Ek ladki ki virginity discuss kar rahe the on National Television? Sharam nahi aayi?” he demanded. He also pulled up contestant Shreya Kalra for supporting Shilpa during that specific conversation.
For context, Shilpa had previously been seen in the show claiming that Shivangi Joshi had been involved in multiple affairs, allegedly with every co-star she had worked with. She also brought up Shivangi’s rumoured relationship with Kushal Tandon, specifically pointing out their age difference.
When confronted, Shilpa attempted to defend her actions. She claimed her statements were based on Instagram rumours, stating, “Bahar ki jo sachai hai woh main bol rahi hoon, jisko jaise lena hai le le.”
Despite her defense, Shilpa faced the consequences of the confrontation later in the episode when Vikas chose to help Akanksha Chamola secure a safe card, deliberately putting Shilpa at risk of elimination.
This is not the first time Shilpa Shinde has been reprimanded for her gossip. During the recent Judgement Day episode, hosts Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh explicitly warned her against bringing outside information into the ‘Lock Upp’ house and spreading rumours about Shivangi Joshi.
