Indian cricketer Virat Kohli was recently in Delhi for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The 37-year-old star’s team won the contest comprehensively. However, the biggest talking point was something totally different. A video is going insanely viral on social media, showing a little kid throwing a tantrum after failing to get the autograph of the former India captain.

The short clip showed a kid patiently waiting in the hotel lobby for an autograph from Virat Kohli. As soon as the legendary batter made his way near the kid, the little one got excited and charged towards Virat Kohli to get the bat signed. However, Virat Kohli marched straight ahead without even glancing at the kid.

This led the kid to get angry and break down. However, this was not the end of the matter, as the little one then smashed his bat onto the ground. B4U was unable to independently verify whether the incident occurred before or after the game.

The video has been generating a lot of reactions on social media. While some are lashing out at Virat Kohli for not taking time to meet the kid, others reckon celebrities deserve some space, and no one has the right to throw tantrums.

“Good for him to learn a lesson. Never be a fan boy/girl for anyone. No human is above your self respect,” wrote one user.

Another wrote, “Be a fan , but don't become blind fan.”

“May be he wasn't in right mindset that time... But that ignorance towards the kid is not right,” another user commented.

“Feeling sad for little one,” said another user.

Speaking about the match between Bengaluru and Delhi, Bengaluru won by nine wickets to move to second place in the IPL points table. Virat Kohli has been performing really well for RCB and is among the leading run-scorers.

On Monday, Virat Kohli also attended the unveiling of the latest branch of his coach Rajkumar Sharma's academy. He inaugurated a branch of the West Delhi Cricket Academy at DPS RK Puram in New Delhi. Rajkumar Sharma was also present at the event. Virat Kohli even spoke to the students during the inauguration, asking them to stay focused on their goals.
