After weeks of intense speculation regarding her equation with Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, she has finally decided to set the record straight, and she isn't holding back.

The rumours began spreading like wildfire after a paparazzi video surfaced showing Shefalii and Yuzvendra Chahal enjoying a dinner together. In an era where shipping celebrities is a national pastime, social media users were quick to jump to conclusions, suggesting that the two were the latest it couple of the sports-meets-entertainment world.
However, in a candid conversation with Filmygyan, Shefalii Bagga expressed her sheer exhaustion with the narrative, “I knew you were going to ask this. But honestly, I really don’t want to answer this question because I’m just fed up. People’s thinking is so small—they assume a dinner means dating.”
She added that the speculation blew up after a single clip. “There was just one pap video, and suddenly social media was like, ‘Oh, is Shefalii and Yuzvendra dating?’”

Given her profession, Shefalii is often seen around cricketers, but she insists the chatter no longer affects her. “I really don’t care. Honestly, my threshold is over now. Say whatever you want to say. I know my reality, and the people around me know my reality,” she added.
Shefalii Bagga further clarified that she has a strict rule about not mixing her professional and personal lives, making it clear that dating a cricketer is not on her agenda. “I think you asked me this last year also! But no, this is my profession. I don’t want to mix things up,” she shared.
While Shefalii is firm about not dating within the cricketing circle, she isn't shy about admitting who she admires. The anchor revealed she is a huge fan of legends like MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli, though she jokingly noted that the icons she looks up to are either married or retired, while the newer crop of players is likely younger than her.
“The ones I like—I’m a fan of Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni—they’re either married or retired. And the rest are probably younger than me,” she said.
When the topic shifted to her ideal partner, Shefalii pointed to the relationship between Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma as her gold standard. She expressed a deep admiration for the way Virat balances a high-pressure career with visible devotion to his wife.
“Caring, definitely. I like people who are a little obsessed—in the sense that when they are with their girl, they are fully with her.” Referencing Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, she added, “You can see how busy he is, but you can also see his love for Anushka—that obsession, that affection. I want a guy like that.”
She emphasised that she values "small gestures" and emotional presence above all else, seeking someone who is fully attentive and "obsessed" with her when they are together.
Beyond the gossip, Shefalii remains one of the most hardworking personalities in the industry. Since her breakout stint on ‘Bigg Boss 13’, she has transitioned from a news anchor to a versatile TV host and actress.
She recently made waves with her collaboration with ‘Bigg Boss 18’ contestant Digvijay Singh Rathee for the music video ‘Beparwaiyaan’, which has already amassed millions of views. Additionally, she hosted the reality show ‘Loventure: Pyaar Ka Vanvaas’ on JioHotstar.
As for what the future holds, fans have a lot to look forward to. Shefalii revealed that she is currently awaiting the release of multiple film projects – one in Bollywood and another in the South Indian film industry. For now, however, her heart is firmly set on her career rather than a relationship. "I’m very focused. There’s still a lot of time for all that," she concluded.
