Watch: Virat Kohli-Anushka Sharma Return To Vrindavan, Meet Premanand Maharaj
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma returned to Vrindavan for a peaceful spiritual retreat, offering a glimpse into their faith-driven life beyond fame.
In a world of flashing cameras and high-stakes cricket, power couple Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma continue to find grounding in their spiritual journey. The duo recently made a soulful return to Vrindavan, visiting the Keli Kunj Ashram to seek the blessings of the revered saint, Premanand Govind Sharan Ji Maharaj. This visit, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, highlights a recurring pattern for the couple, who have now visited the ashram three times in just the last five months.

Both were seen wearing traditional tulsi malas as they sat among other devotees, attentively listening to the Maharaj’s discourse.

This latest interaction, which quickly went viral, captured a quiet, reflective side of the couple. During a previous visit, the Maharaj had asked if they were happy, to which they both nodded in agreement. He further shared a profound perspective on success, explaining that true divine blessings manifest not as material wealth, but as inner transformation and the peace found through life's challenges. Despite their global fame and a life that now largely fluctuates between India and London, their frequent returns to Vrindavan suggest a deep-seated faith that transcends their celebrity status.

The spiritual retreat served as a calm prelude to their recent appearance in Bengaluru, where the couple was spotted navigating the city’s airport. This outing marked their first public appearance together following a flurry of online chatter regarding Virat’s social media activity.
Recently, eagle-eyed fans noticed the cricketer liking, and subsequently unliking, an Instagram post by German vlogger LizLaz. While the interaction sparked a meme fest and widespread speculation, the couple’s arrival in Bengaluru painted a picture of absolute normalcy as they served couple goals.
Videos from the airport showed Anushka and Virat in high spirits, laughing and chatting as they stepped off an escalator. Virat was even spotted carrying Anushka’s bag, a small gesture that didn't go unnoticed by fans. Anushka exuded elegance in a white floral kurta paired with palazzo pants and a green dupatta, while Virat kept it casual in a black tee and jeans.
The like-unlike incident with LizLaz briefly put Virat at the centre of a social media storm. The vlogger herself addressed the situation in an interview, expressing that while she was happy about the initial like, she felt bad that it became such a massive news story, noting that it likely wasn't his intention to cause a stir. This incident echoed a similar situation from last year involving actress Avneet Kaur, after which Virat had clarified that such interactions are often accidental results of the platform's algorithm while clearing his feed.
As the Indian Premier League season progresses, Virat remains focused on his commitments with Royal Challengers Bengaluru, with upcoming matches against Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals.
Meanwhile, Anushka continues to maintain a private profile, having stayed away from full-length film releases since 2018’s ‘Zero’. While rumours persist that the family – now including daughter Vamika and son Akaay – has shifted their base to London, their recent sightings in India prove they remain deeply connected to their roots, whether through the fervour of the IPL or the silence of a Vrindavan ashram.
