“Abhi Bhi Unka…”: Yuzvendra Chahal Shuts Down Ex-Wife Dhanashree Verma’s Cheating Allegations
Yuzvendra Chahal broke his silence on ex-wife Dhanashree Verma’s cheating allegations, calling his marriage a forgotten chapter and asserting that he has moved on for good.

Cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal has finally broken his silence on his much-publicised fallout with ex-wife and choreographer Dhanashree Verma, addressing cheating allegations and clarifying that he has completely moved on. Their marriage, divorce, and ensuing drama have long kept fans and gossip columns buzzing, with accusations and subtle digs from both sides. But Yuzvendra Chahal has now insisted that he has closed that chapter for good and has no intention of engaging further.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, the leg-spinner spoke candidly about the end of his marriage, expressing a clear desire to distance himself from the controversy. Responding to Dhanashree’s claims that he cheated early in their relationship, Yuzvendra Chahal firmly denied the allegations.
“I am a sportsperson, and I do not cheat. Agar koi two months mei hi cheat karta toh itna lamba relationship chalta kya? For me, this chapter is over, done and dusted. I have moved forward with my life, and everyone else should too,” he said.
He added, “We were married for 4.5 years in total. We wouldn’t have stayed together if someone had cheated right at the start. Mai nikal chuka hoon iss baat se. Abhi bhi unka ghar mere naam se chal raha hai. They can continue doing that. I am not concerned or affected. And I have a feeling this is the last time I am addressing that chapter of my life.”
Yuzvendra Chahal also stated that he is single and uninterested in rehashing the past. “Mai iss chapter ko bhula chuka hun. Koi kuch bhi keh deta hai, and social media pe chal jata hai. 100 baatein chalti hain, but the truth is only one, and those who matter, know it. Mere liye chapter closed hai. I don’t want to address it ever again,” he further said.
The controversy reignited after a clip from Ashneer Grover’s reality show ‘Rise and Fall’ went viral, where actress Kubbra Sait asked Dhanashree when she realised her relationship wouldn’t work. Dhanashree responded, “First year. I caught him in the second month.”
Reacting to this claim, Yuzvendra Chahal reiterated on Raj Shamani’s podcast that he has never been unfaithful. “After the divorce happened, it occurred to me that people think I’m a cheater. And I have never cheated in my life. I am not that person. You won’t find someone more loyal than me. I always think from my heart for my loved ones. I have two sisters, and I’ve seen how girls should be respected,” he said, emphasizing that his conscience is clear.
