Former South Africa captain AB de Villiers, has confirmed that Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are expecting their second child.
Finally, the much-awaited news is here! It was being rumoured for a long time that cricketer Virat Kohli and his wife and actress Anushka Sharma are expecting the birth of their second child. The rumours gained steam after Virat Kohli pulled out of the first two Tests against England, and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) asked fans and journalists to respect the privacy of the cricketer. In the latest entertainment news, former South Africa captain AB de Villiers, who shares a close bond with Kohli, has disclosed that Kohli and Anushka are indeed expecting their second child.
"All I know is he is fine. He is spending a bit of time with his family, that is the reason he is missing the first two Test matches. I am not going to confirm anything else. I cannot wait to see him back. He is fine, he is doing well," the former Royal Challengers Bangalore batter said.
"Let me just see what he said. I just want to at least give you a little bit of love. So, I wrote to him 'Been wanting to check in with you for a while now biscuits. How are you?'. He said 'Just need to be with my family right now. I am doing well'. Yes, his second child is on the way. Yes, it's family time and things are important to him. If you are not true and genuine to yourself, you lose track of what you are here for. I think most people's priority is family. You can't judge Virat for that," he added.

AB de Villiers made the big revelation during a Q&A session on his YouTube channel. A fan asked him if he checked up on Kohli after he withdrew from the first two Tests against England.
For the unversed, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma had tied the knot on December 11, 2017 at a grand wedding in Tuscany, Italy. The two are parents to daughter Vamika, whom they welcomed in January 2021.
Initially, Virat Kohli was named in the Indian squad for the first two Tests against England, however, just days ahead of the first match, the cricketer decided to pull out.
As of now, it is not known whether Virat Kohli would be available for the remaining three Tests against England or not.
On the work front, Anushka Sharma will next be seen in Netflix film 'Chakda Xpress', in which she will be essaying the life of former India woman cricketer Jhulan Goswami.
