Shah Rukh Khan, who was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Dunki’, recently spoke about Indian cricketer Virat Kohli.

Shah Rukh Khan and Virat Kohli share a unique bond. Whenever they interact with each other after Indian Premier League (IPL) matches, the celebrity duo is seen in good spirits and their interactions always win over the fans. So, it is no surprise that SRK had only good things to say about Virat Kohli, when he sat down for a special interview with IPL 2024 TV broadcaster Star Sports. For the unversed, Virat Kohli is married to Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, and they are parents to daughter Vamika and son Akaay.

Anushka Sharma has acted in several movies with SRK such as ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’, ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’, ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’, and ‘Zero’.

“I spent a lot of time with him, I just love him. We say that he is our son-in-law, he is our fraternity’s ‘daamad’. I have known him the most compared to other players. I have known Virat and Anushka for a long time, spent a lot of time with them,” SRK said.

“I know him since his dating period was going on and I was shooting the film with Anushka. So, he spent many days with us, and became very friendly,” he added.

Speaking further about Virat, Shah Rukh Khan said, “I taught him the Pathaan movie title song dance steps. I saw him in the one of the India matches, he tried to do the dance with Ravindra Jadeja in the match.”

“They were trying to do that dance step, I was very sad that they are doing it so badly! I told them that let me make you learn the steps so that in the next World Cup and other Championships, whenever you dance at least you will call me and ask how to do the steps,” he added.

Last year, during the IPL 2023 season, after the match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), SRK and Virat Kohli were seen doing the ‘Jhoome Jo Pathaan’ hook step.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will reportedly next be seen in Sujoy Ghosh's ‘King’, alongside his daughter Suhana Khan who made her acting debut last year with Zoya Akhtar’s ‘The Archies’. As per several reports, the superstar is likely to play a don in the film.

Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani's ‘Dunki’. The movie, co-starring Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal and Boman Irani, made more than Rs 400 crore worldwide.
