Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are one of the most adored couples and fans are desperate to know every possible update about them. Virat Kohli has been busy off late with the ongoing Cricket World Cup 2023, and the maverick batter would be hoping to make the country proud as Team India battle it out against Australia in the Cricket World Cup 2023 final in Ahmedabad today. Anushka Sharma will also be present at the stadium to cheer for her husband and Team India.
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli had tied the knot in December 2017, but did you know that Virat Kohli never formally proposed to Anushka Sharma as he knew they were destined to be together.
Earlier, during an old conversation with India football captain Sunil Chhetri, Kohli had admitted that he never traditionally proposed to Anushka Sharma.
"Once we knew things are going forward, we were happy and excited to start living together. It all happened organically," said Kohli.
During the conversation with Chhetri, Virat Kohli said that when one is in love, everyday feels like it’s Valentine's Day, and he never felt a need to follow a traditional path as Anushka and himself had certainty about their marriage to each other.
Virat Kohli also revealed that everyone was instructed to maintain secrecy during the time he got married to Anushka.
“Everyone who came knew it was all done by her and they loved every moment of us being together," said Kohli.
Talking about Virat Kohli, he will be seen in action in Team India's World Cup final against Australia later today at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
Virat Kohli is currently the leading run-scorer in the tournament. He had recently broken the record of his "hero" Sachin Tendulkar, and he now has the most number of ODI centuries (50).
Speaking of Anushka Sharma, she will next be seen in Jhulan Goswami's biopic titled 'Chakda Xpress'. The film is slated to stream on Netflix. The release date has not been announced yet.
