The makers of ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups’ have unveiled the film’s second track, ‘Manamohaka’, offering audiences a deeper look into the complicated relationships at the heart of Geetu Mohandas’ much-awaited action drama. Following the release of 'Tabaahi', the latest song presents Yash in a softer, romantic light, while hinting at an emotional conflict involving Tara Sutaria and Kiara Advani’s characters.
Running for 3 minutes and 14 seconds, the music video traces the growing bond between Yash’s character, Raya, and Tara Sutaria’s Rebecca. Their romance unfolds through a series of intimate moments, including a quiet scene in a bathtub in which Rebecca wishes Raya had proposed to her. The couple is later seen on dates, with the visuals portraying a relationship that appears affectionate and deeply connected.

As the song progresses, however, the mood takes a dramatic turn. Raya is shown sharing reflective moments with Nayanthara’s Ganga, who is widely believed to play his sister in the film. A conversation between the two, accompanied by a shared cigarette, suggests that Raya’s emotional turmoil is tied to Kiara Advani’s Nadia, for whom he also seems to have strong feelings.
While the video avoids revealing major plot details, it hints that Rebecca eventually discovers the truth, leaving her visibly shaken before Raya attempts to comfort her.
The song also strengthens speculation surrounding Raya’s relationships, echoing earlier promotional material that hinted at the possibility of the character being involved with more than one woman.
Ahead of the track’s release, Tara Sutaria had sparked curiosity by posting a cryptic message on her Instagram Stories that read, “Is monogamy the law of the heart... or of society?” while tagging the film.
Director Geetu Mohandas later reshared the post, adding, “You'll know soon enough – August 26th! But the heart doesn't wait, it will make you sing to its own tune."
'Manamohaka' has been composed by Tanishk Bagchi, Faheem Abdullah and Arslan Nizami, with vocals by Siddharth Basrur. To cater to audiences across languages, the track has been released under different titles: 'Madhosh' in Hindi, 'Manasagadhe' in Telugu, 'Thadumaarudheyyy' in Tamil and 'Madhu Mohini' in Malayalam.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups features an ensemble cast led by Yash alongside Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth. The film is slated to arrive in theatres on August 26.
