Toxic: ‘Ladies & Ladies’ Teaser Introduces Women Of Yash Film, Kids Warned To “Stay Away”. Watch
The new 'Toxic' teaser opened with a cheeky disclaimer, warning children to stay away.
After months of keeping fans guessing about the female characters in 'Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups', the makers on Wednesday finally pulled back the curtain. A brand-new teaser puts the film's star-studded female cast in the spotlight, offering audiences their first proper look at Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth alongside Yash. The 1-minute-41-second teaser opens with a cheeky disclaimer, warning children to stay away and asking parents and grandparents to ensure they don't watch it.
Great-grandparents, meanwhile, are told to proceed at their own risk. The dramatic voiceover sets the tone by saying: “Love. Love makes monsters of women. It is a beautiful illusion if one understands the depth of its deception. And yet here we are. Fighting for his scraps of devotion. But here comes a plot twist, ladies. Don't forget the predictable spectacle of men and their c**k.”

The teaser then offers intriguing glimpses of the film's leading women. Nayanthara makes a stylish entry riding a motorcycle, while Kiara Advani appears to be playing a glamorous dancer. Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth are shown in brief, mysterious moments. Yash, meanwhile, takes centre stage with an action-packed sequence where he taunts the women, saying, "Ladies and ladies. Do you want to come one at a time? Or all together?"
Yash shared the clip on social media and captioned the post as, "Ladies & Ladies...#Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups In Cinemas Worldwide from 26-08-2026."
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, 'Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups' is a period gangster drama jointly produced by Venkat K Narayana and Yash under the banners of KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. Yash plays a dual role in the film. Originally announced in 2023 as 'Yash 19', the film went on floors in 2024 and was simultaneously shot in Kannada and English before being dubbed into Hindi and other South Indian languages.
The film has witnessed a series of release delays. It was originally slated to arrive in theatres on April 10, 2025, but was postponed after production ran behind schedule. The makers later locked March 19, 2026, as the new release date, but the plan was changed due to the conflict in West Asia.
A subsequent June 4 release was also pushed back. 'Toxic' is now scheduled to release in cinemas on August 26, coinciding with the Onam festive season.
The film has courted controversy during its promotional campaign. In January, a teaser released on Yash's birthday featured him in an intimate scene inside a car parked in a graveyard, then transitioned into a violent action sequence. The visuals sparked criticism, with a complaint being lodged before the Karnataka State Commission for Women over alleged obscenity.
