Amid 'Kalki 2898 AD's blockbuster run, Nag Ashwin had special things to say about the film's producers.

Nag Ashwin's latest sci-fi epic 'Kalki 2898 AD', starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani, continues to smash the box office records left, right, and centre. In the latest entertainment news, the pan-India film which was released in cinemas on June 27, has already gone past the Rs 300 crore mark in India, and it needs to be seen how the film performs in the coming days.

'Kalki 2898 AD' director Nag Ashwin has now paid a special tribute to the production house behind the film -- Vyjayanthi Movies. Taking to Instagram, Nag Ashwin talked about the long association he has had with the producers.

"Around 10 years ago, the three of us began our debut feature film "Yevade" together... Vyjayanti was at a low and this film was a risky one...I remember a day of shoot with 20 extras and it rained...we couldn't finish and meant we had to come back and setup again...that extra cost was unaccounted for and made us break down and panic...in retrospect that cost wasn't much at all," he wrote.

"From that to this... 10 years later...every movie we have made together, is not just successful at the box office, but a small milestone in film history, in its own way...I feel proud and blessed to stand between these two...and be part of the impossible things we are pulling off... There are shortcomings...there is so much room to improve... And we shall. For now, just Gratitude," he added.

For the unversed, Nag Ashwin's sci-fi epic 'Kalki 2898 AD' is a mix of Hindu mythology set in a dystopian world where some people have made it their mission to save the unborn child of Deepika Padukone’s character.

The new pan-India film also features cameos by Vijay Deverakonda, Mrunal Thakur, Dulquer Salmaan, SS Rajamouli and Ram Gopal Varma.
