Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone's 'Kalki 2898 AD' Goes Past Rs 500 Crore Worldwide In Just 4 Days

Nag Ashwin's new sci-fi epic 'Kalki 2898 AD', starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani, recorded a smashing extended opening weekend. The new pan-India film, which was released in cinemas on Thursday, June 27, opened to favourable reviews from all corners. And as a result, the new pan-India movie has now gone past the Rs 300 crore mark in India, across all languages. As per industry tracker Sacnilk, 'Kalki 2898 AD' minted Rs 85 crore, across all languages on Sunday, the fourth day of its release. The total nett domestic collection of the film now stands at Rs 302.40 crore.
Out of this Rs 84 crore, Rs 39 crore came from the Hindi version, while the Telugu version contributed Rs 36.8 crore. The Tamil and Malayalam versions contributed Rs 5.5 crore and Rs 3 crore, respectively. The Kannada version also contributed only Rs 0.70 crore, as per Sacnilk.
The Telugu total currently stands at Rs 162.10 crore, while the Hindi version has so far collected Rs 110.50 crore. It is important to mention that 'Kalki 2898 AD' has now become the only third Hindi film of 2024 to breach the Rs 100 crore mark.
Globally, 'Kalki 2898 AD' has gone past the Rs 500 crore mark in terms of gross box office collection. The film has just taken four days to achieve this feat, and it is now one of the fastest movies to breach this mark.

For the unversed, Nag Ashwin's sci-fi epic 'Kalki 2898 AD' is a mix of Hindu mythology set in a dystopian world where some people have made it their mission to save the unborn child of Deepika Padukone’s character. The new pan-India film also features cameos by Vijay Deverakonda, Mrunal Thakur, Dulquer Salmaan, SS Rajamouli and Ram Gopal Varma.
Despite 'Kalki 2898 AD' release in cinemas, Kartik Aaryan’s ‘Chandu Champion’ and Sharvari Wagh, Abhay Verma and Mona Singh’s ‘Munjya’, also continue to make good strides at the box office.
As per Sacnilk, Kartik Aaryan’s ‘Chandu Champion’ minted Rs 1.65 crore on Sunday, the 17th day of its release. The nett domestic collection of the film now stands at Rs 58.85 crore.
On the other hand, ‘Munjya’ collected Rs 1.90 crore on Sunday, the 24th day of its release. The total nett domestic collection of ‘Munjya’ now stands at Rs 94.80 crore.
Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa's new Punjabi film 'Jatt & Juliet 3', which was released in cinemas on Thursday, minted Rs 5.50 crore on Sunday, the fourth day of its release. As per Sacnilk, the total four-day nett domestic collection now stands at Rs 16.75 crore.
Lastly, 'A Quiet Place: Day One', which released in cinemas on Friday, minted Rs 0.83 crore on Sunday, the third day of its release. The total nett domestic collection of the film now stands at Rs 2.04 crore in India.
