The ‘Spider-Man’ star has officially let the cat out of the bag. After months of feverish speculation, Tom Holland has seemingly confirmed that he and longtime girlfriend, actress Zendaya are married, delivering the ultimate mic-drop during a recent interview with Esquire U.K. Rumours of a secret wedding have been swirling since earlier this year. The buzz kicked into high gear in March 2026, when Zendaya's close friend and stylist Law Roach boldly told Access Hollywood on the Golden Globes red carpet, “The wedding has already happened. You missed it.”

Shortly after Law Roach's comments, a series of AI-generated images depicting the couple's supposed nuptials went viral, racking up an astonishing 10 million likes on Instagram. The fake pictures caused quite a stir in their personal lives. Zendaya, who was doing a press tour for her film ‘The Drama’ at the time, addressed the situation on Jimmy Kimmel Live! with a non-denial about the actual wedding, but clarified the photos.

“I was just out and about in real life and people were like, 'Oh my God, your wedding photos are gorgeous.' And I was like, 'Babe, they're AI. They're not real,'” she explained, noting that acquaintances were genuinely upset over missing the invitations.

It turns out Tom Holland's family was also caught in the crossfire. Speaking to Esquire, the British actor revealed that his grandmother was briefly offended because she believed she had been left off the guest list. When the interviewer asked Holland if he had to send out reassuring messages to other family members regarding the viral AI images, the actor cheekily replied: “No, because they were all there.”

When the interviewer pointed out that they didn't realize the wedding had already taken place, Tom Holland firmly shut down further prying: “That's all you'll get on that.”

Though fiercely private about the details of their big day, the actor didn't hold back when gushing about his partner. The couple, who publicly confirmed their relationship in 2021 and got engaged in December 2024, lean on each other heavily in the spotlight.

“Our business can present very stressful situations and it's really nice to have a bedrock of a relationship that will stand the test of time,” Tom Holland said. “We can support each other in ways that only we can, because only we understand really what it's like to live this life, and I think that is such a luxury, because I just don't understand how I would be able to have anything like that with anyone else.”

He continued: “So, for me, I found my person. She's my best friend, and I'm the happiest I have ever been when I'm with her, but I have also never felt so supported and safe, ever. Period.”

The celebrity couple's love story dates back to 2016 when they first met on the set of ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’, marking Tom's first solo outing as the Marvel superhero with Zendaya playing MJ. Tom Holland vividly remembers her audition.

“Obviously, I was super excited at the prospect of working with her and getting to know her,” he recalled. “She smashed her audition out the park and got the part before she'd even left the room. I remember when she closed the door to leave, [producer] Amy Pascal was immediately like, 'Well, she's getting the job.'”

Now, Tom Holland and Zendaya are gearing up for a massive double-bill at the 2026 box office. They are set to share the screen in Christopher Nolan's highly anticipated adaptation of Homer's epic poem, ‘The Odyssey’. Releasing in theatres on July 17, the star-studded ensemble cast also features Matt Damon in the lead role, alongside Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong'o, Samantha Morton, and Charlize Theron.

Shortly after, they will reprise their iconic Marvel roles in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ – believed to be the first in a new trilogy. The superhero flick releases globally at the end of July, with Indian fans getting it one day early on July 30.
