Paris Paralympics 2024: Jackie Chan Carries Torch, Fans Call Him "Childhood Hero"
Jackie Chan carried the torch ahead of the Paralympics in the French capital on Wednesday.
Veteran actor Jackie Chan is currently in Paris for the ongoing Paralympics 2024. The 'Karate Kid' actor carried the torch ahead of the Paralympics in the French capital on Wednesday. The 70-year-old actor took to the streets of Paris to act as the torchbearer ahead of this year's Paralympics. The official social media handle of Paris Paralympics 2024 shared a picture of Jackie Chan. In the now-viral picture, Jackie Chan can be seen wearing a white jersey and glasses. He can also be seen carrying the Paralympic torch.
The actor can also be seen being surrounded by a hoard of people on the streets of Paris.

For the unversed, Jackie Chan had also carried the torch at Paris Olympics, earlier this year.
The Olympic torch in Paris was also carried by BTS singer Jin.

For the unversed, Jackie Chan has a special connection with Paris. The third installment of the 'Rush Hour' franchise, filmed in France, and the movie had a key fight scene at the Eiffel Tower.
"I did all my stunts, even the scene full of fighting and acrobatics on top of the Eiffel Tower," he had told reporters in 2007 during the premiere, as per Hindustan Times.
"I can tell my grandchildren, 'This is your grandfather. This is me. That's not a double flying around the Eiffel Tower in 100-mile-per-hour winds'," he added.
On the work front, Jackie Chan will next be seen in the upcoming installment of 'Karate Kid'.
