Ananya Panday, who turned a year older today, has emerged as one of Bollywood’s most exciting fashion names, balancing playful experimentation with a growing appreciation for refined luxury. From youthful separates and glamorous gowns to sleek, statement-making silhouettes, the actress enjoys switching up her style without losing her signature freshness. Her recent appearances have also revealed a taste for understated drama, where a clever cut or unexpected detail often does more than elaborate embellishment. For her latest outing, Ananya embraced the timeless appeal of black, proving that classic eveningwear can still deliver a memorable fashion moment.

A stunning video of the young Bollywood actress in the black dress also made its way online and went viral in no time.

Have a look at the video here:

The ankle-length creation featured long sleeves, a softly draped bateau neckline and a streamlined silhouette. From the front, its all-black fabric looked deceptively simple, with subtle folds and sculptural shaping adding dimension. The real surprise, however, emerged when she turned around.

The dress plunged into a dramatic, deeply scooped open back, framed by fluid black fabric that gathered into soft folds at the lower edge. A wispy cluster of black feathers rested high on her back, while fine gold chains traced lines down the exposed skin. The unexpected combination of feathers, metal and minimal fabric gave the otherwise restrained ensemble a theatrical, cinematic edge. Carefully placed draping around her hips and skirt maintained the outfit’s graceful, elongated shape.

Ananya Panday paired the dress with pointed black Christian Louboutin pumps featuring delicate lace detailing and slim heels. Her jewellery was equally considered: oversized circular cream-toned earrings framed in gold, a coordinating statement ring and a sculptural gold ring. Rather than introducing a necklace, she let the distinctive earrings and dramatic back detailing speak for themselves. Even her pale manicure complemented the look’s monochromatic sophistication.

Her dark brunette hair was swept into a textured, low updo with a deep side part. A loose, face-framing strand softened the hairstyle, while the gathered bun kept her shoulders and the feathered back detail visible. Her beauty look followed the same polished approach, featuring bold brows, smoky brown eyeshadow, precise winged eyeliner and mascara-defined lashes. Subtly flushed cheeks, highlighted skin and muted brown lips added warmth without overpowering the outfit.

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Ananya was last seen on the big screen in the May 2026 release ‘Chand Mera Dil’. Directed by Vivek Soni and co-written by Soni and Tushar Paranjape, the film featured her alongside actor Lakshay. The movie explores the journey of two college lovers whose relationship is challenged as they face the new responsibilities of adulthood, leading them to reconsider their idea of love.

Prior to this, Ananya Panday was seen alongside Kartik Aaryan in ‘Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri’, marking their second collaboration together.

Up next, Ananya will be seen in the second season of the Prime Video show ‘Call Me Bae’.
