Bollywood actress Ananya Panday has steadily built a fashion identity that feels youthful, experimental and increasingly couture-driven. Whether she is slipping into a barely-there mini, embracing romantic Indian wear or going full throttle with sculptural gowns, the actress rarely lets an outfit wear her. Her strongest appearances often balance sensuality with an interesting design element, and she has become particularly good at making dramatic silhouettes feel surprisingly effortless. For this striking appearance, Ananya Panday turned to Rahul Mishra Couture, wearing the ‘Cadence’ gown from the designer’s Fall 2026 haute couture collection, ‘Devi’. Taking to Instagram, the young Bollywood actress shared stunning photos of herself in the gown.

The deep bronze, floor-grazing column gown hugged her frame before falling into an elongated hem, while its sleeveless construction and dramatically plunging V-neckline brought plenty of sensuality. But the real magic was in the surface. The dress was conceived as a trompe-l’oeil, using thread embroidery to create the illusion of dimensional stone carving. French knots in different-coloured threads covered the visible surface, while fine resham embroidery forms raised areas and a pronounced chiaroscuro effect.

The photographs made that craftsmanship especially striking. Sculpted, wave-like lines travelled down the bodice before sweeping towards Ananya’s waist, where they converged into an elaborate knot-like formation. From there, the lines radiated across her hips and continued vertically down the skirt, simultaneously contouring and elongating the silhouette. The metallic bronze palette and raised embroidery made the gown appear almost carved onto her body, changing subtly with the light and her poses. The collection itself drew inspiration from India’s sacred stone carvings and translated that sculptural language into intricate threadwork.
With a dress doing this much talking, Ananya Panday wisely kept conventional jewellery out of the equation. Instead, the focal accessory was her Piaget Limelight Gala Precious Rainbow watch. The 18-carat timepiece featured a 32mm dial and precious stones in rainbow hues, providing a jewel-toned contrast against the earthy bronze gown. She otherwise went sans jewellery, allowing the watch and couture craftsmanship to command attention.
Her beauty look stayed firmly within the same sultry, ’90s-inspired universe. Ananya Panday’s brunette hair was worked into a voluminous bombshell blowout, with big, brushed-out waves and deliberately undone movement framing her face. Her makeup played with warm chocolate and bronze tones: softly sculpted, glowing skin, defined brows, brown-toned eye makeup, eyeliner, warm blush and glossy brown lips.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Ananya was last seen on the big screen in the May 2026 release ‘Chand Mera Dil’. Directed by Vivek Soni and co-written by Soni and Tushar Paranjape, the film featured her alongside actor Lakshay. The movie explores the journey of two college lovers whose relationship is challenged as they face the new responsibilities of adulthood, leading them to reconsider their idea of love.
Prior to this, Ananya Panday was seen alongside Kartik Aaryan in ‘Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri’, marking their second collaboration together.
