Here's what Ram Gopal Varma had to say about 'The Kerala Story'.

Adah Sharma-starrer 'The Kerala Story' continues to make headlines and the latest Hindi movie is all set to enter the Rs 200 crore club at the domestic box office. However, the new Hindi movie continues to garner polarising reactions, and in the latest entertainment news, 'Satya' director Ram Gopal Varma has came out in support of the Sudipto Sen-directorial, saying the new Hindi movie will haunt "like a mysterious fog."

Taking to Twitter, Ram Gopal Varma said: "It’s difficult to learn from #KeralaStory because it’s EASY to copy a LIE but very DIFFICULT to copy TRUTH."

"The #KeralaStory will haunt like a mysterious fog in every story discussion room and every corporate house in BOLLYWOOD forever," he said in another tweeted.

Ram Gopal Varma also questioned the silence of the Bollywood industry on the success of the new Hindi movie.

"The #KeralaStory is like a BEAUTIFUL GHOSTLY MIRROR showing the DEAD face of Main stream BOLLYWOOD to itself in all its UGLINESS," said RGV in another tweet.

"We are so comfortable in telling lies to both others and ourselves that when someone goes ahead and shows the truth we get SHOCKED..That explains the DEATH like SILENCE of BOLLYWOOD on the SHATTERING SUCCESS of #KeralaStory," he added.

Talking about 'The Kerala Story', the movie is nearing the Rs 200 crore mark at the Indian box office.

While the new Bollywood movie is performing well at the domestic box office, it continues to remain controversial as several people have hit out at its subject matter.

However, veteran actress Shabana Azmi recently tweeted on the matter, saying once a movie has been passed by CBFC, it should not be banned.

'The Kerala Story' has been directed by Sudipto Sen, while it is bankrolled by Vipul Amrutlal Shah.
