Anshula Kapoor offered fans a peek into Sonam Kapoor's birthday celebration – mouth-watering cakes, a lavish grazing platter and plenty of love.
Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor rang in her 41st birthday on June 9, and going by the photos doing the rounds, the celebration was an intimate, food-filled affair drenched in family warmth. Her cousin and social media personality Anshula Kapoor – actor Arjun Kapoor's sister – gave fans a front-row seat to the festivities, sharing a cheerful carousel on Instagram with the caption: “The amount of cake at this brunch suggests we were planning for a small village. No regrets though. Happy birthday Sonam didi @sonamkapoor We love you so much!”
The birthday girl herself dropped a string of heart emojis in the comments. And Anshula wasn't exaggerating about the cake. One frame captured a dessert table that could rival a patisserie window – a fluffy white cream cake, a sunshine-yellow floral buttercream cake, a glossy chocolate-raspberry creation and a decadent chocolate slab dotted with berries, with several reading "Happy Birthday Sonam" in delicate piping.

Another close-up showed a rich chocolate ganache cake crowned with fresh raspberries, sitting beside a platter of chocolate-chip cookies and individual mousse cups, all framed by peach-toned roses. A separate grazing board overflowed with grapes, cheeses, figs, passion fruit, chocolate, fudge and dips, underlining just how indulgent the spread was.

The day's standout moment was a tender black-and-white photograph of Sonam alongside her husband, businessman Anand Ahuja, who lovingly held their son as the family gathered around the cake table. Sonam, who welcomed her second son earlier this year, looked radiant in a striking orange-and-white printed Dolce & Gabbana kaftan-style ensemble finished with feather trims and bold red D&G earrings – her hair pulled back in a sleek bun.
The pictures also captured the easy affection of the gathering. Anshula posed adorably with the birthday girl in one sweet portrait, while a lively group shot brought together Sonam's close circle of family and friends, including cousin Arjun Kapoor and her longtime friend, designer Masaba Gupta, all beaming for the camera.
