Sonam Kapoor glowed at her baby shower ceremony as she celebrated her second pregnancy with close friends and family members.
Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor is embracing a joyful new chapter as she prepares to welcome her second child with husband Anand Ahuja. To mark the occasion, the actress hosted an intimate yet star-studded baby shower at her residence on February 8. Rooted in tradition and understated elegance, the celebration brought together close friends, family members and several familiar faces from the film industry. Soon after the ceremony, glimpses from the baby shower began doing the rounds on social media.

On Monday, guests who attended the celebration shared pictures from the event, offering fans a peek into the beautifully curated gathering. The images showed Sonam glowing as she proudly flaunted her baby bump.
True to her reputation as a style icon, Sonam once again struck the perfect fashion note. For the special occasion, she chose a lime-green lehenga set adorned with delicate floral embroidery, paired with a matching cape. The mom-to-be looked radiant as she completed her look with statement jewellery and a sleek bun, creating a modern, maternity-friendly look that still felt deeply rooted in Indian aesthetics.
Complementing Sonam Kapoor’s ensemble, Anand Ahuja opted for a classic kurta-pyjama. During the puja, the couple shared quiet, tender moments, with Anand visibly unable to take his eyes off his wife. One of the photographs from the ceremony also highlighted the decor – a striking floral arrangement placed on a wooden table, featuring tall white blooms paired with hints of purple.
The decor leaned heavily on fresh florals, with hanging purple blooms and birds-of-paradise installations suspended from the ceiling, transforming the indoor space into a dreamy, garden-like setting.
Actor Anupam Kher also shared a picture from the celebration with Sonam, writing, “Happy #Godbharai dearest @sonamkapoor! Love and Blessings!”
The baby shower saw the presence of several celebrities, including Kareena Kapoor, Anshula Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Shabana Azmi, Maheep Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor, among others.
Sonam first met Anand Ahuja in 2015 when she was busy promoting ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’. She had earlier revealed that while her friends initially wanted to set her up with one of Anand’s friends, she found herself talking more to Anand instead.
After two weeks of constant texting, the two grew closer and eventually tied the knot in a grand wedding ceremony in 2018. The couple welcomed their son, Vayu, in 2022. In November 2025, Sonam announced her second pregnancy in style by sharing pictures of herself in a pink outfit inspired by Princess Diana, simply captioned, “Mother.”
Previously, speaking to Hindustan Times about motherhood after the birth of her first child, Sonam reflected on how it reshaped her priorities. “
You become more responsible as a human being. You give your time only where it’s needed and to what’s important. Your time is basically owned by someone else. My time is mostly for my son and husband. I love my work, and that’ll also be an equal priority. Now your timings have changed. Frivolous things aren’t as important as you thought they used to be,” she said.
