With just hours to go before her highly anticipated July 6th wedding to screenwriter and script supervisor Rohan Thakkar, Anshula Kapoor is sharing glimpses of a pre-wedding celebration filled with family, fashion, and heartfelt emotion. From a surprise mehendi to an emotional chooda ceremony, the daughter of filmmaker Boney Kapoor is surrounded by love as she steps into this new chapter. Sharing her gratitude in an emotional Instagram post, Anshula wrote, “The colours, the chaos, the love, and a heart completely full @janhvikapoor and @khushikapoor, thank you for giving me a mehendi beyond what I could have dreamed of! Every thoughtful touch, every beautiful corner, every moment reflected the love and care you poured into making it so special.”

The celebration included a star-studded family roster. Anshula was seen posing with her father Boney Kapoor, and siblings Arjun, Janhvi, and Khushi. Extended family members, including uncles Anil and Sanjay Kapoor, cousins Sonam, Rhea, Harshvardhan, and Shanaya Kapoor, alongside actor Varun Dhawan, all gathered to celebrate the bride-to-be.

Anshula added, “The greatest gift was that I could simply be present, soak it all in, and feel completely celebrated because you had taken care of absolutely everything. Thank you for giving me one of the happiest days of my life. I love you both endlessly.”

For her mehendi, Anshula broke away from traditional greens and yellows, opting instead for a striking teal-blue lehenga by designer Arpita Mehta. The richly embroidered outfit featured multicoloured thread work, mirror embellishments, and a statement dupatta with geometric motifs in vibrant gold, pink, turquoise, and silver hues.

The sartorial choice held deep personal significance. “For my mehendi, I wanted my outfit to honour the family I was stepping into,” Anshula explained on Instagram. “This incredible teal blue lehenga by @arpitamehtaofficial is inspired by the rich legacy of Patola, while beautifully incorporating her signature mirror work, bringing together two crafts that are so deeply intertwined with Gujarat's textile heritage.” Notably, she mentioned that this was Arpita Mehta's first-ever Patola-inspired bridal lehenga. Anshula completed the look with chunky beaded turquoise jewellery and a soft, radiant makeup look.

The celebrations continued with a chooda ceremony that blended joyful chaos with poignant family moments. Posting pictures of the event, Anshula wrote, “Chooda. Kalire. Blessings. (red heart emoji) The moment it all started to feel real.”

The images captured the warmth of the Kapoor family, showing Boney, Arjun, Janhvi, and Khushi all sharing a laugh. The ceremony also featured playful traditions, with Anshula shaking her kalire over the heads of cousin Shanaya Kapoor and close friend Orry. Amidst the laughter, one touching black-and-white photo stood out: Anshula shedding a tear as she tightly hugged her brother, Arjun Kapoor.

Anshula also shared a fun video featuring an adorable sibling moment when a kalira dropped on Arjun Kapoor.

The wedding festivities, which began with a Mata Ki Chowki on June 21 and included a bachelorette trip to Seoul, are culminating today in Mumbai. Anshula and Rohan, who met on a dating app in 2022 and got engaged last October, are officially ready to tie the knot.
