Salman Khan’s family celebration took an adorable turn during Ganpati Visarjan, thanks to a brief moment between the superstar and his sister Arpita Khan. Salman joined his family at brother Sohail Khan’s residence on Tuesday for the immersion festivities, where he was seen taking part in the traditional aarti before the Ganpati idol was immersed. A video from the celebration captured Salman performing the aarti as family members and guests gathered around him.

However, he appeared to be performing the ritual in the wrong direction. Arpita noticed the mistake and tried to alert her brother by calling out, “Bhai.” With the chants and celebrations creating a noisy atmosphere, Salman initially failed to hear her.
Arpita then stepped in and showed him the correct way to perform the aarti. Salman’s reaction to his sister’s intervention quickly became one of the most endearing moments from the celebration. He later appeared to pass on the same correction to his niece Ayat, adding another playful family moment to the festivities.

Salman’s arrival had already been marked by warm interactions with his family. Arhaan Khan was seen welcoming him at the entrance, while Ayat greeted her uncle with a hug. The actor later spent time chatting with his stepmother Helen and other guests.
Salman was dressed casually for the occasion in printed jeans, a matching jacket, a black T-shirt and a black beanie. His rumoured girlfriend Iulia Vantur was also present at the celebration. She participated in the aarti after Salman and opted for a yellow anarkali suit.
The actor also posed for the paparazzi and was seen affectionately interacting with a young child during the gathering.
On the work front, Salman is set to headline 'Maatrubhumi', which is being directed by Apoorva Lakhia and produced by Salman Khan under his production banner, Salman Khan Films. Chitrangada Singh is also part of the film.
The project has faced a prolonged delay. Originally titled 'Battle of Galwan', the film was later renamed 'Maatrubhumi' as the makers sought to expand its narrative beyond the specific military confrontation. The movie was initially scheduled for release on April 17, but its current release date has not been announced.
The project also came under scrutiny following the release of its teaser, with China's Global Times accusing the makers of presenting distorted facts. India's Ministry of External Affairs subsequently clarified that it had “no role” in such cinematic ventures. Reports have also indicated that parts of the film were reshot.
Salman has another major project lined up with filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally. Backed by producer Dil Raju, the currently untitled film features Nayanthara alongside Salman. The actor has confirmed that the movie is scheduled to arrive in cinemas during Eid 2027.
