Just a day after a heated exchange outside a Mumbai hospital, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and the city's paparazzi have officially buried the hatchet – and in true 'Bhaijaan' style. The actor, who was visibly furious on Tuesday night, showcased a much lighter mood on Wednesday as he accepted a unanimous apology from photographers at a star-studded event. The reconciliation took place at the success bash for the Marathi period action drama ‘Raja Shivaji’, directed by and starring Riteish Deshmukh.

Salman, who made a special cameo as Jiva Mahala in the film, arrived at the venue with his signature swag. Almost immediately, the stationed photographers erupted into a chorus of apologies, chanting, “Sorry bhai, bhai sorry,” and “Kal ke liye sorry, Bhai. Love you, Bhai.”

Taking the situation in stride, Salman instructed his security team not to block the photographers. Acknowledging their remorse, he quipped, “Ha yeh jagah sahi hai”. As he posed alongside a laughing Riteish Deshmukh, Salman decided to pull the media's legs a bit further, smiling and demanding, “Zor se bolo, aawaz nahi aa rahi tum sabki”. The banter left Riteish cracking up and hugging the superstar.

Before leaving the party, Salman took a sincere moment to personally address the photographers. He explained the emotional weight of the previous night, revealing that he was at Hinduja Hospital to visit the severely ill wife of a close friend. On a lighter note, he also teased the paparazzi by asking why they didn't share the footage of themselves scrambling and running around in slippers during the chaos.

The dramatic saga originally began on Tuesday night when photographers mobbed Salman as he exited the hospital, aggressively shouting the name of his upcoming film, ‘Maatrubhumi’. An irritated Salman gestured to his forehead, asking, “Pagal ho gaye ho?” and scolded them for lacking basic empathy.

The frustration spilled over onto his Instagram later that night. In a series of fiery posts, Salman questioned their ethics: “If I see any press at a hospital enjoying my pain... But if they wanna make money from my losses…. keep quiet don't enjoy.” He prioritized real life over cinema, writing, “bhai bhai bhai matrabhumi picture ki maaa ki aankh, pic imp hai ya life?”

He further warned the paparazzi about invading his friends' grief: “Aise main sau jala doonga... Jab bhi tumhara koi hospital mai hoga kya mai aisa react karoonga?” Reminding everyone of his enduring fighting spirit, he added, “Saath saal ka ho gaya hoon lekin ladna nahiin bhoola yeh yaad rakh lena, jail mein dalo ge haaa haaa.”

This outburst came hot on the heels of a cryptic, shirtless “lonely” post Salman shared on Sunday night, which sparked immense online speculation about his well-being. The post even drew a reaction from his 2005 Lucky co-star Sneha Ullal, who commented, “Uffff Adiiii, why didn't you do all this during Lucky?” Salman later revealed that his own mother had grown concerned, asking, “Kya Hua Beta?” after seeing the post.

For now, all seems well in Salman's world as he celebrates the success of ‘Raja Shivaji’ and prepares for his upcoming project ‘Maatrubhumi’, which co-stars Chitrangda Singh and currently awaits a release date.
