“Fraud Alert”: Rakul Preet Singh Slams Doctor Over False Plastic Surgery Claims
Rakul Preet Singh shut down cosmetic surgery rumours after a self-proclaimed plastic surgeon’s viral claims, crediting her transformation to fitness and discipline.
From body shaming to unsolicited medical breakdowns, celebrities frequently find themselves in the crosshairs of online speculation. Rakul Preet Singh recently found herself at the centre of such claims and chose to address them head-on after a man identifying himself as a plastic surgeon alleged that her facial transformation was the result of cosmetic surgery. The controversy started when a man identifying himself as a cosmetic surgeon posted a video analysing Rakul Preet Singh’s “then and now” photographs.
In the video, he claimed the actor had undergone a nose job, as well as Botox and filler treatments. He further criticised Rakul Preet Singh for attributing her physical changes to fitness, arguing that she was setting unrealistic expectations for others by not admitting to the alleged procedures.
Rakul Preet Singh shared the video on her Instagram Story with a stern warning, labelling the content a “fraud alert”. She expressed deep concern over individuals posing as medical professionals to spread misinformation. She wrote, “It’s scary that people like him are claiming to be doctors and making statements without any factual checks and misleading people.”
The Bollywood actress further clarified that while she understands “ancient and modern science” and has no judgment against those who choose surgery, she finds it unacceptable to spread baseless rumours in the name of science.
Attributing her facial transformation to discipline rather than medical intervention, she stated, “There is also another thing called weight loss that comes from hard work. Ever heard of that?” She concluded by warning her followers to “beware of such doctors”.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Rakul Preet Singh was recently seen in ‘De De Pyaar De 2’ alongside Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, and Meezaan Jaffri. The film collected Rs 111.53 crore worldwide.
She has a busy slate ahead. Rakul Preet Singh will next star in ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do’. Directed by Mudassar Aziz, this film also stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan, and Wamiqa Gabbi. It is scheduled for a theatrical release in March 2026. Rakul also has ‘Indian 3’ in the pipeline.
