Irish actor Cillian Murphy finally fulfilled his lifelong dream of winning an Oscar. The actor took home the Academy Award for his phenomenal performance in Christopher Nolan's 'Oppenheimer'. Noting this achievement, Bollywood actress Yami Gautam, who is currently enjoying the success of her latest film 'Article 370', took a dig at "fake filmy" award shows. In the latest Bollywood celebrity gossip, although the actress did not name any particular ceremony, however, from her post, it can be easily made out that she is indeed talking about Bollywood award functions. In her post, Yami Gautam shared why she has stopped attending Bollywood award ceremonies, and she also expressed her happiness on Cillian Murphy finally winning the Best Actor accolade at Oscars 2024. 

“Having no belief in any of the current fake ‘filmy’ awards, since the last few years, I stopped attending them but today I am feeling really happy for an extraordinary actor who stands for patience, resilience & so many more emotions," Yami Gautam wrote.

"Watching him being honoured on the biggest global platform tells us that in the end, it’s your talent that stands the tallest above anything. Congratulations #CillianMurphy! #Oscar2024," she added.

As per the latest Bollywood celebrity gossip, it is important to mention that Yami Gautam's post comes a day after Zee Cine Awards 2024 were held. The awards were dominated by Shah Rukh Khan and his two films 'Pathaan' and 'Jawan'. 

Speaking of Yami Gautam's 'Article 370', the new Hindi film minted Rs 3.40 crore on Sunday, as per industry tracker Sacnilk. The total nett domestic collection of the film now stands at Rs 65.70 crore in India.

For the unversed, ‘Article 370’, which has been directed by Aditya Suhas Jhambale and backed by Aditya Dhar, is based on the revoking of the special status granted to Jammu and Kashmir.

Talking of Oscars 2024, the 96th Academy Awards were dominated by Christopher Nolan's 'Oppenheimer'. The movie won seven accolades, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor.
