Yami Gautam-Starrer ‘Article 370’ Fares Well On Monday, Goes Past Rs 25 Crore
Yami Gautam and Priyamani’s ‘Article 370’ released in theatres on February 23 and it has been performing decently well at the box office.

After enjoying a good run over the weekend, ‘Article 370’ needed to maintain its hold on the fourth day of its release. The new Hindi movie, starring Yami Gautam and Priyamani, has done just that on its first Monday. It looks likely that the film will be able to perform decently well at the box office, which will help it to go past the Rs 50 crore mark in India. If ‘Article 370’ manages to achieve this feat, it would be remarkable considering it stars female leads and is reportedly made on a budget of Rs 20 crore.
As per industry tracker Sacnilk, ‘Article 370’ minted Rs 3.25 crore on its first Monday. As a result, the total nett collection of the film now stands at Rs 26.15 crore.
‘Article 370’ will enjoy a free run at the domestic box office till March 8. Ajay Devgn, Jyotika and R Madhavan-starrer ‘Shaitaan’ will be releasing in cinemas on March 8.
Apart from Yami Gautam and Priyamani, ‘Article 370’ also stars Arun Govil, Vaibhav Tatwawadi, Skand Thakur, Ashwini Koul, and Kiran Karmarkar.
‘Article 370’ is directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale, while it has been bankrolled by ‘URI: The Surgical Strike’ director Aditya Dhar.
Yami Gautam is playing an intelligence officer, who is tasked with restoring peace in Kashmir. For the unversed, the plot of the film revolves around the abrogation of Article 370, which revoked the special status granted to Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking of Vidyut Jammwal, Arjun Rampal, Nora Fatehi and Amy Jackson-starrer ‘Crakk’, which released on the same day as ‘Article 370’, it looks like the new Hindi movie has been rejected by the audience. As per Sacnilk, ‘Crakk’ minted just Rs 1 crore on Monday, and the total nett domestic collection remains below the Rs 10 crore mark (Rs 9.70 crore).
Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon-starrer ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ earned Rs 0.80 crore on Monday, which was the 18th day of its release. The total earnings of the film now stand at Rs 74.35 crore.
Lastly, ‘Fighter’, starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor, might be coming to its theatrical end as the film minted just Rs 0.20 crore on Monday, which was the 33rd day of its release.
The total earnings of 'Fighter' in India now stand at Rs 211.30 crore. Worldwide, the film has gone past the Rs 350 crore mark.
