“Morally Something’s Wrong With You”: Nora Fatehi Slams Trolls For Criticising Her World Peace Appeal Amid Middle East Tensions
Nora Fatehi hit back at trolls criticising her call for world peace amid the escalating Middle East tensions, reiterating that she will always stand for unity and compassion.
Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi recently addressed the escalating tensions in the Middle East through a video message, assuring fans that she is safe while urging people to prioritise peace and unity. However, the actress has now shared another video revealing that her earlier appeal for world peace during the ongoing US–Iran conflict drew criticism from some people online.

On Wednesday, Nora took to her Instagram Stories to wish fans on the occasion of Holi before addressing the backlash she received.
Responding to trolls who criticised her stance, the Bollywood actress said many people have lost the ability to understand and interpret messages properly.
“I think a lot of people have lost touch with the ability to have comprehension skills and listening skills. That’s something we used to learn in school — comprehension skills, critical thinking skills, reading abilities and being able to just listen,” she said.
Nora Fatehi added that the constant influence of social media and phones has affected people’s ability to process information thoughtfully. Despite the criticism, she maintained her position. “But I do maintain my stance on world peace and unity,” she said.
The actress further emphasised that her message was meant to encourage harmony across the world, and anyone who found fault with such a sentiment should reflect on their response.

“If you don’t think you are a part of that sentence — because every country and every person is part of the world — and if I speak generally about wanting people to live in peace and if I speak against chaos and you have a problem with that, then you need to check yourself. Morally, there’s something wrong,” she said. Nora explained that her earlier video was about society feeling exhausted by repeated global crises.
“After I posted my video about how tired we are as a society with one chaos after another, one major world event after another, I was speaking for everybody. So if it bothers you, irritates you or triggers you, you need to get yourself checked,” the actress said.
She concluded by reiterating her commitment to promoting peace and unity. Reflecting on the moment, Nora shared that she had just finished praying and was preparing to break her fast when she thought about the criticism she received. “I’m sitting here thinking about how we live in a world where people get upset or angry if you speak about world peace. That’s scary. I will forever advocate for world peace and unity. Nothing can intimidate me,” she said.
In her earlier video message, Nora had reassured followers that she is currently in India and not in Dubai.
Nora also noted that uncertainty has become a shared global experience, with repeated crises leaving many people emotionally drained. She urged people to remain compassionate, united and grounded, especially during difficult times beyond individual control.
The comments come amid rising geopolitical tensions following military operations carried out by the United States and Israel against Iran. The strikes reportedly resulted in significant casualties among Iran’s political and military leadership, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
In response, Iran launched retaliatory strikes targeting US bases in the Middle East. The developments caused major flight disruptions in Dubai and several other Middle Eastern cities, leaving many travellers stranded.
