Nora Fatehi Slams “Lies” Linking Her To Dawood Ibrahim Rave Parties
Nora Fatehi hits back at reports linking her to Dawood Ibrahim–connected rave parties, calling them baseless lies aimed at destroying her reputation.
Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi, known for her killer dancing skills and stunning fashion sense, has firmly rejected speculation linking her to drug-fuelled rave parties allegedly organised in Mumbai by a drug trafficker, reportedly attended by Dawood Ibrahim’s nephew. Taking to Instagram Stories, Nora Fatehi issued a strong clarification, calling the reports “lies” and asserting that her name was being used as an “easy target”.
On Sunday, Nora Fatehi posted a detailed note stressing that she does not have the lifestyle being implied in these reports. The Bollywood diva added that she does not associate with such circles and prefers spending her rare downtime at home, on a beach in Dubai, or with friends from high school.
“I don't go to parties.. I’m constantly on flights.. I'm a workaholic, I don't have a personal life.. I don't associate myself with people like that. And on my off days I'm at home on a beach in Dubai or with my high school friends! I spend my entire days and nights working on my dreams and goals,” she wrote.
Nora then urged her followers to be cautious about unverified claims being circulated online. She also went on to say that this was not the first time her name had been dragged into baseless controversies.
“Don’t believe anything you read! It seems like my name is an easy target! But I won't allow it to happen this time! It happened once before, you guys tried to destroy me with LIES, and it didn’t work. I watched silently as everyone tried their best to slander my name, smear my reputation and use me as clickbait,” she stated.
The Bollywood actress ended her message with a stern warning that her name and image must not be attached to matters irrelevant to her. “Please refrain from using my name and image on situations that have absolutely NOTHING to do with me! This will come with a heavy, heavy price,” she said.
Nora Fatehi’s statement was issued after media outlets reported that she, Shraddha Kapoor, and several other Bollywood personalities were allegedly present at rave parties organised by drug trafficker Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh. Shaikh, who was recently deported from Dubai, is accused of hosting such gatherings for Bollywood and fashion celebrities and reportedly claimed that underworld don Dawood Ibrahim’s nephew Alishah Parkar attended these events as well.
Shaikh is currently in the custody of the Anti-Narcotics Cell’s Ghatkopar unit. Officials have not dismissed the possibility of questioning the celebrities whose names appeared in his alleged confession, though no formal summons have been issued yet.
