Once the poster boy of modern Bollywood romances, Imran Khan burst onto the scene with ‘Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na’ in 2008 and quickly became a heartthrob. With hits like ‘I Hate Luv Storys’, ‘Delhi Belly’, and ‘Break Ke Baad’, he built a loyal fan base that still reminisces about his charm. But after the failure of ‘Katti Batti’, Imran Khan quietly stepped away from the spotlight, choosing to take a hiatus from acting. The actor has completed filming ‘Adhure Hum Adhure Tum’, a Netflix romantic comedy currently in post-production and expected to arrive towards the end of 2026. Calling it his first movie in 10 years, Imran described the project as a “grown-up romantic comedy” that is “age-appropriate” to the phase of life he is in today.
“It’s the one I simply had to make after 10 years,” he told The Hollywood Reporter India. Directed by Danish Aslam, the film reunites Imran with his ‘Break Ke Baad’ director and also stars Bhumi Pednekar and Gurfateh Pirzada. While the actor made a cameo appearance in ‘Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos’, ‘Adhure Hum Adhure Tum’ marks his first full-fledged leading role since ‘Katti Batti’ in 2015.

Imran played Kush Agnihotri, a young man entrusted with finding the perfect bride for his London-based brother, Luv. 6. Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu
Released on February 10, 2012, ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’ brought Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor together for an unusually restrained romantic comedy. Directed by Shakun Batra in his feature-film debut, it also starred Boman Irani, Ratna Pathak Shah and Ram Kapoor. Imran played Rahul Kapoor, an architect struggling under the weight of his parents’ expectations. After losing his job in Las Vegas, he meets the free-spirited Riana Braganza, played by Kareena. A drunken night ends with the strangers accidentally getting married, prompting them to seek an annulment while gradually becoming close friends.
