Comedian and actor Sunil Grover has once again solidified his reputation as the undisputed king of mimicry. After delivering legendary impressions of Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, and Shah Rukh Khan, the comedian took on the persona of Mr Perfectionist, Aamir Khan, in the latest episode of ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’. While fans were quick to shower praise on the performance, the ultimate validation has come from Aamir Khan himself. In a candid conversation with Subhash K Jha for Bollywood Hungama, Aamir Khan shared his delight over the act.
Far from being offended, the superstar revealed he was thoroughly entertained. “I wouldn’t even call it mimicry. It was so authentic, I felt like I was watching myself,” Aamir remarked.
He admitted that after seeing a short clip that left him “laughing so much I couldn’t breathe,” he now intends to watch the full episode. Emphasising the light-hearted nature of the performance, Aamir added, “What I saw was priceless. There was no malice in it at all. I must have laughed the loudest.”
The viral performance took place during an episode featuring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday as guests. Sunil Grover didn't just mimic Aamir's voice; he nailed the superstar’s specific interactions with the paparazzi, his unique wardrobe choices, and his distinct walking style.
Adding his signature comedic flair, Sunil – referring to himself as "unees bees Aamir" – playfully grilled Kartik Aaryan about his personal life, asking why the actor hadn't even married once yet.
