Hema Malini slammed false reports about Dharmendra’s death while Esha Deol issued a statement about his health condition.

Veteran star Dharmendra is alive, contrary to the rumours that flooded social media on Monday night and early Tuesday morning. His daughter Esha Deol has firmly denied the false reports circulating online, confirming at 9:10 am on November 11 that her father is “very much alive” and recovering. The 89-year-old actor, who was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital after his health deteriorated, is under constant medical supervision but said to be stable.

Esha urged fans not to fall for misinformation, reassuring everyone that Dharmendra’s condition is stable.

Family members, including Sunny and Bobby Deol, have been visiting the hospital regularly to monitor his recovery. However, no official medical bulletin has been issued by the family or the hospital yet, as the situation remains closely monitored.

Amid the chaos, Hema Malini also addressed the false death reports about her husband, expressing anger and disappointment over the careless spread of misinformation.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), she wrote, “What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible channels spread false news about a person who is responding to treatment and is recovering? This is being extremely disrespectful and irresponsible. Please give due respect to the family and its need for privacy.”

Reportedly, the veteran actor was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital on November 10, following a sudden dip in his health. While his condition initially caused concern, his family have since clarified that he is responding well to treatment and continues to be monitored closely in the intensive care unit.

Fondly called Bollywood’s original “He-Man,” Dharmendra is among Indian cinema’s most beloved icons. Over a career spanning more than six decades, he has delivered unforgettable performances in classics like ‘Sholay’ (1975), ‘Chupke Chupke’ (1971), ‘Dharam Veer’ (1977), and ‘Mera Gaon Mera Desh’ (1971). Known for his humility and warmth off-screen, Dharmendra continues to inspire generations of actors and fans alike.

He was last seen in ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ (2024) alongside Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, and before that, in Karan Johar’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ (2023), where his performance received widespread love. His next film, ‘Ikkis,’ directed by Sriram Raghavan and starring Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda, is scheduled for a Christmas 2025 release.

As of Tuesday morning, both Esha Deol and Hema Malini have confirmed that Dharmendra is stable and recovering, urging the public and media to avoid spreading rumours and respect the family’s privacy. The story continues to develop as fans across the country send prayers for his speedy recovery.
