Watch: Hema Malini, Dharmendra Dance To Their Hit Song In Rare Video Recorded Months Before His Death
A priceless video of Dharmendra and Hema Malini dancing together months before his passing has surfaced recently, leaving fans emotional and nostalgic.
The legendary chemistry between Dharmendra and Hema Malini, a duo that defined romance for generations of cinema lovers, is being celebrated once again. A rare, heart-warming video has surfaced online showing the couple joyfully grooving to their hit song ‘Dariya Mein Phenk Do Chabi’ from the 1991 film ‘Aas Paas’. Shared by RJ Anirudh Chawla, the footage captured a beautiful moment of the pair twinning in purple outfits, radiating the same infectious energy that made them superstars.

The video carried a heavy emotional weight, as Anirudh revealed it was recorded in July 2025 – just four months before Dharmendra’s passing in November. The meeting took place when Anirudh visited the veteran actor to seek his blessings for an upcoming book and a concert tour in Canada.
Reflecting on the encounter, Anirudh shared: “How perfect these words [from the song] are for Dharamji. These were unforgettable moments... Who knew it would be our last meeting?”
The video served as a precursor to a historic event titled ‘The Dream Girl’s Dream Run Concert’. Co-produced, written, and directed by Anirudh Chawla, the tour will feature Hema Malini sharing behind-the-scenes anecdotes from her blockbuster films with Dharmendra, including ‘Sholay’, ‘Seeta Aur Geeta’, ‘The Burning Train’, ‘Alibaba Aur 40 Chor’, ‘Raja Jani’ and ‘Naya Zamana’.
The tour, which includes a special tribute to Dharmendra, will kick off in Canada this March: Toronto (March 21st) and Vancouver (March 29th).
The footage has left fans deeply moved, with many calling the couple their “always favourite jodi” and describing their happy expressions as “priceless”.
This wave of nostalgia follows the sombre events of November 24, 2025, when Dharmendra passed away. His legacy was honoured through two major prayer meets. Hema Malini and her daughters hosted a prayer meet in New Delhi. Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol organised a prayer meet for their father in Mumbai.
The Mumbai service saw a massive gathering of Bollywood royalty, including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Rekha, Malaika Arora, and Suniel Shetty.
Dharmendra’s personal life was as storied as his career. He married his first wife, Prakash Kaur, in 1954 at age 19, with whom he had four children: actors Sunny and Bobby Deol, and daughters Vijeta and Ajeita.
His later marriage to Hema Malini brought two more daughters into the family, Esha and Ahana Deol, further cementing a sprawling family legacy.
