Deepika Padukone channelled futuristic glamour in a Gaurav Gupta sculpted black ensemble.
Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has long been a benchmark for modern Indian glamour on global red carpets. Known for her ability to balance high-fashion drama with understated elegance, Deepika’s style evolution has moved seamlessly from classic silhouettes to bold couture statements. Whether she’s championing Indian designers internationally or embracing avant-garde structures, her fashion choices consistently reflect confidence, precision, and a sharp understanding of visual impact. Her global appearances are rarely about excess; instead, they focus on sculpted tailoring, refined beauty, and silhouettes that command attention without overpowering her presence.
For the recent Cartier Gala in Dubai, Deepika Padukone stepped out in a custom black couture ensemble by Gaurav Gupta, reaffirming her status as one of the designer’s most striking muses. Taking to Instagram, the Bollywood actress shared stunning photos of herself in the black outfit.

The look featured a sharply tailored structured jacket paired with a sleek, floor-length skirt, reimagining Gaurav Gupta’s signature ‘Starfall’ silhouette from his The Divine Androgyne Spring Summer ’26 couture collection, first presented in Paris.
Crafted in deep black, the ensemble stood out for its dramatic architectural shoulders, sculptural lines, and a body-hugging column skirt that elongated her frame. The jacket’s plunging open neckline added a subtle sensual contrast to the otherwise futuristic tailoring, while the house’s signature metal-burst embroidery, featuring deconstructed watch components, was intricately hand-applied across both the jacket and skirt. The interplay of engineered tailoring and fluid movement created a powerful, statuesque silhouette that felt both modern and timeless.
Accessories were kept intentionally impactful. As a global brand ambassador for Cartier, Deepika Padukone elevated the look with diamond high jewellery, including a statement necklace composed of closely set diamonds that cascaded into a pear-shaped drop at the centre, paired with matching diamond earrings. The brilliance of the jewels complemented the sharp geometry of the couture without competing for attention.
Her beauty look echoed the ensemble’s polished intensity. Deepika opted for a luminous, sculpted base with softly contoured cheekbones, warm brown smoky eyes, subtle eyeliner, and voluminous lashes that enhanced her almond-shaped eyes. A muted pink lip with a satin finish balanced the bold eye makeup.
Her hair was styled in a sleek, slicked-back bun, allowing the dramatic shoulders and Cartier diamonds to remain firmly in focus, completing a look that was commanding, elegant, and unmistakably couture-forward.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Deepika Padukone was last seen in ‘Kalki 2898 AD’.
She has ‘King’ lined up for release in 2026, which stars Shah Rukh Khan in the lead alongside his daughter Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Rani Mukerji, among others.
In addition, the actress is also set to appear in filmmaker Atlee’s upcoming sci-fi action drama, which stars Allu Arjun in the lead role.
