An emotional Nayanthara had some high praise for her 'Jawan' co-star Shah Rukh Khan, and the video is now going viral.

Dadasaheb International Film Festival Awards 2024 were held on Tuesday evening, and the ceremony was dominated by Hindi film 'Jawan' and its actors Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara. SRK was first awarded with the Best Actor, and then it was Nayanthara who was handed the Best Actress accolade. More than the accolades, it is the acceptance speeches of SRK and Nayanthara that are going viral on social media. While SRK joked about receiving the Best Actor award after a long time, Nayanthara had some high praise for her co-star. 

For the unversed, 'Jawan' marked the Hindi film debut of Nayanthara, and fans absolutely loved the chemistry between SRK and the Lady Superstar down South. 

"Hum sabke dilon ke Badshah Shah Rukh sir. Thank you so much for the love, for the respect that you showed me. Thank you so much for introducing me to all your friends in Bollywood. I couldn't have asked for more," said Nayanthara.

"20 saal, 75 filmein lage mujhe yahan tak pahunchne me. Truly, it is a surreal moment for me to be holding this prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award," she added.

It was SRK who presented Nayanthara with the Best Actress award. After giving her the trophy, King Khan gave the actress a forehead kiss.

Speaking of 'Jawan', the film also stars Sanya Malhotra, Deepika Padukone, Priyamani, Sunil Grover and Sanjay Dutt. The movie, which released in cinemas on September 7, 2023, went on to do a lifetime business of more than Rs 1,100 crore. 

'Jawan' is currently the highest-grossing Hindi film of all-time in India, with a collection of more than Rs 600 crore, across all languages. 

On the work front, a recent report from Pinkvilla states that SRK is gearing up for 'Pathaan 2'. 

For the unversed, ‘Pathaan’ marked the return of SRK to the silver screen after a gap of more than four years, and the movie collected more than Rs 1,000 crore worldwide.

Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani's ‘Dunki’. The movie also stars Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani, Anil Grover, and Vikram Kochhar.
