“Upset” Anil Kapoor “Not Talking” To Boney Kapoor After Being Overlooked For No Entry 2
Boney Kapoor has revealed that brother Anil Kapoor is “upset” and “not talking to him” after being overlooked for No Entry 2.
No Entry, a 2005 comedy film, was received well with many fans praising the comic timing of the actors in the movie. The multi-starrer, which had the likes of Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Bipasha Basu, Lara Dutta among others, was a total laugh riot. So, when news started filtering out that No Entry 2 was in the making, and being produced by Boney Kapoor, everybody naturally thought that Anil Kapoor would once again be in the mix. But that was not to be the case. As per reports, Boney Kapoor’s son Arjun Kapoor, along with Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh, are going to be cast in the movie.
However, it seems Anil Kapoor is not too please about being left out of the movie. His brother Boney Kapoor revealed that he is upset and currently not talking to him.
“Yesterday, there were some people interviewing me and they asked me how has Anil reacted, so I said that he is upset with me, that he is not talking to me. Now, I had to be honest, I just can’t… but at the same time, I know that blood is thicker than water, and we’ve been very very close,” Boney Kapoor was quoted as saying to News18 Showsha.
Boney Kapoor, however, seemed to wash his hands off the decision to drop Anil Kapoor from the sequel of No Entry.
“I love him too dearly, I just can’t do anything to hurt him. This is something professional, so I have to follow the diktat of the director, who calls the shots.”
“So, I’ll continue making films when the role is right, when the script is there. He would be my first choice if the role suits him. I love him too dearly too to remain upset, I mean I am not upset today, he is upset, but I’ll work my way to see that he gets back to normal,” he added.
The producer even revealed that he had tried calling his brother but to no avail.
“Yes, I made a few calls… but it’s ok, I’ll give him some time. See, you have these ups and downs amongst the people you love the most. Husband-wife have their own quarrels, friends have their own quarrels, brothers also have their own issues. No quarrel, there is not a quarrel, there is an issue and they resolve over time. He is too dear to me, I’ll make an effort to see that he’s back again talking to me and all that and it’ll be fine,” Boney Kapoor added.
