Boney Kapoor Confirms Janhvi Kapoor And Shikhar Pahariya's Dating Rumours
Boney Kapoor has finally spoken about his fondness for Shikhar Pahariya, the rumoured boyfriend of his daughter, Janhvi Kapoor.
Film producer Boney Kapoor, who is awaiting the release of his next project ‘Maidaan’, starring Ajay Devgn in the lead role, has finally spoken about his fondness for Shikhar Pahariya. For the unversed, Shikhar Pahariya is the rumoured boyfriend of his daughter and actress Janhvi Kapoor. In a recent interview, Boney Kapoor candidly said that he has always maintained a close friendship with Shikhar Pahariya even when the latter was not romantically involved with his daughter.
In an interview with Zoom, Boney Kapoor said, “I love Shikhar. In fact, a couple of years back, Janhvi was not seeing him, but I was still friendly to him.”
Boney Kapoor also added that during the time the rumoured couple was not seeing each other, he was always convinced that, “Shikhar could never be an ex.”
Janhvi Kapoor and Shikhar Pahariya have never publicly confirmed their relationship. However, Shikhar has often been seen attending various events with Janhvi and her family.
Speaking highly of Shikhar Pahariya, Boney Kapoor said, “He’ll be around. When any person is there for you in any capacity whether it’s for me, whether it’s for Janhvi, whether it’s for Arjun, he is friendly to all. So I feel we’re blessed to have somebody like him in our set up.”
Recently, Boney Kapoor was also spotted flying out of Mumbai with Shikhar Pahariya, and while he posed for the paparazzi, he respectfully declined to be papped with Janhvi's beau.
Talking about the situation, Boney Kapoor said, "He probably wanted me to have the limelight, so it wouldn’t be diluted by him being there. Or the headlines would have been ‘Shikhar and Boney’ instead of just Boney.”
On her 27th birthday, Janhvi Kapoor and Shikhar Pahariya had visited the Tirupati Balaji Temple and were accompanied by social media influencer Orhan Awatramani aka Orry.
Janhvi Kapoor will next be seen alongside Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan in ‘Devara’.
Janhvi Kapoor will also star in ‘Ulajh’, a thriller with Gulshan Devaiah and Roshan Mathew. It is directed by National Award winner Sudhanshu Saria.
She will also be seen alongside Varun Dhawan in the upcoming rom-com ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’. The upcoming Bollywood movie, directed by Shashank Khaitan, will be released in theatres on April 18, 2025.
